Solid coffee shop w lots of space, good music and great coffee. Polite fast service. In the morning they have some simple counter service but there is a cafe next door for more food. -
I’ve been to Yonder a few times now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in Durham. The space has a really welcoming vibe, and the staff are always kind, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. I especially love some of their teas, a few of them remind me of how I used to have them back home in India, which makes every visit feel a little extra special. It’s a place where I’ve always felt comfortable, included, and well taken care of. Highly recommend! 🙌 -
Yonder is my daily spot for coffee, tea, Matcha, and lunch…. I give Yonder Five stars, only because Google will not let me give them 10!
If you like high-quality Sustainably roasted coffees from all over the world, as well as the best selection of tea in the triangle. Then this is your spot!
The best part about yonder is the staff… The best around.
They also have tiny limes. …. And ice cream.
The only critical feedback I can offer is that sometimes they run out of apple jacks and Froot Loops Before the other cereals. But, worst things could happen, I guess. -
I just recently left this establishment due to the fact that I really felt extremely uncomfortable. I just came off of work and I wanted to finish the rest of my day at Yonder and get a chai latte. As soon as I sat down and opened my laptop. I was approached by one of the managers that I needed to place an order before I got too comfortable. I said okay I planned on ordering me a drink, thank you. Mind you, before I left I was only there 15-20min in the timeframe he came up to me twice, saying I needed to order something or I was going to be asked to leave. I was very calmed and said “i planned on ordering a drink”. I just felt like at that point he didn’t want me to there so I packed up my things and talk to one of the employees and told them that I felt like I was being harassed and there is no sign stating a policy that you have a 10 minute grace period before you are asked to leave if you don’t order anything. I was just very disappointed because that was one of my favorite coffee shops in the area, I will not be returning. -
It's not the most fancy or most eclectic or most decadent of coffee shops or wine bars or beer studies, but it's the fact that it has all of the above - in addition to healthy, tasty sandwiches and treats - that makes it so great. And I may be a sucker for good pricing, but an awesome turkey melt with a ton of different flavors (love the jalapeno) that comes with a side salad for $12 is an absolute slam dunk, plus you can sidecar it with a cappuccino or a local beer (lots on tao) or a good glass of wine. Yes yes yes. And I liked that I had a good amount of space in it to sit and work or hang out with others.
