First time coming here. The lady working there was super nice but the guy was okay. Brought in some shoes to sell. Granted I was looking for anything crazy. He offered me $25 for everything including a brand new pair. Definitely won't be coming back. I understand companies have to make i
money but that to me was a scam. -
Mad Kicks Sneaker Shop: A Sneakerhead's Haven
Nestled on the bustling E. Main Street in Durham, North Carolina, lies a hidden gem for sneaker enthusiasts: Mad Kicks Sneaker Shop and vintage resale one of a kind shop. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by an atmosphere of passion and expertise, where sneakers aren't just footwear; they're a way of life.
My recent visit to Mad Kicks was nothing short of exceptional. I brought in a pair of purple Jordans that I had recently received as a gift, unsure of their authenticity. The staff at Mad Kicks welcomed me with open arms and immediately took charge of examining the sneakers.
With their keen eye for detail, they pointed out several subtle flaws in the construction and materials, indicating that the sneakers were indeed not authentic. I was initially disappointed, but their honesty and willingness to educate me were truly appreciated.
Rather than feeling embarrassed, I felt empowered by the knowledge that I had been given. I decided to leave the counterfeit Jordans in the store for them to donate, knowing that they would find a new home with someone who would appreciate them for what they were.
The staff at Mad Kicks didn't just identify a fake pair of sneakers; they instilled in me a deeper understanding of sneaker culture and the importance of authenticity. Their passion for sneakers is contagious, and their commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled.
If you're a sneakerhead in the Durham area, or just looking for a unique shopping experience, I highly recommend checking out Mad Kicks Sneaker Shop. You won't be disappointed. -
Larry was super helpful and informative. I went to get the UNC Jordan 4’s, although they didn’t have the shoe. They let me try on a similar shoe in my size just to see if I’d like the style on me, since I’m not a big sneaker head. Will be returning if I decide to expand my collection -
Not open during their business hours, and they don't answer the phone. -
They looked at my shoes I don't know if it was a 5 1/2 but he'll they turned me around at the door said they couldn't take them no explanation or anything and they were brand new Jordan gammas
