Along the lines of staying fueled while exercising and having a good time, Wheels Skate Park has officially reopened with a full-service café for snacks and beverages. (No outside food or drink is permitted.) While a roller skate park is a stretch for “dining out,” it’s a great place for families and friends to meet up for a fun outing and classic snacks like pizza, nachos, pretzels, slushies and cotton candy.
Great time! The facility is well maintained and clean. I absolutely loved getting photos against the neon paint. The colors really pop! They were out of a few of the food items but what they did have was good.

Five stars for the way the staff treated my family, my fiancé’s son was learning to skate and the staff was overly patient with him. Several staff members even jumped into the skating ring to give him tips on how to keep his balance. When my fiance fell, they rushed over to bring her water and check on her. The assistant manager on 8/17 and the staff went above and beyond which left a great impression on me and my family.

Super excited to have this iconic Durham hangout again. My kids are just getting old enough to enjoy it and I hosted my daughter's 11 birthday there on a Friday night. As mentioned in other reviews, we had some issues getting through security, getting skates for the kids, and general customer service issues. However, after letting the management know about the issues, they were very gracious and professional. We have been back during the day (better for the kids anyway) and had a great time. I saw the kind manager working his tail off. He was at the front, working in the cafe, then cleaning up. This guy has his work cut out for him and I hope he is appreciated and given the support he needs. Kids are growing up in such a bizarre, paranoid society these days. While there is room for improvement, I'll continue to support Our Wheels, and cheer it on as a special place to make memories.

An amazing experience! I took my church Youth group and we were giving a great group rate! It was easy to check everyone in and all the managers on duty, security and employees in the inside renting out skates were so nice and professional! Additionally, they helped with the kids and teens that were still learning to skate which I greatly appreciated. I will certainly be a back; if you're considering coming you certainly won't regret it.

We enjoyed the bday party we booked for my 8 year old. The hostess was helpful and kept track of our chaotic group very well. The lack of 5th star was due to a slight miscommunication and expectation of the decorating and arrival time. The website explained that we could drop off decorations for the staff to set up. They set up some but said they were not allowed to blow up the balloons. That would have been nice to know in advance so I could have blown them up and brought them with me. Additionally, the website said we could arrive 15 min early to finalize set up, but they wouldn’t let us in until the party time started. Other than that, it was a great event. Thank you.

The new Wheels is amazing! The floor is huge, the music is loud and fun, and the food and snacks are great too! All the people who work there are really nice as well.

I love the new look of Wheels. Had my daughter’s party there. The party hostess Nevaeh could not have been better. She was nice and patient and made sure we hab everything we needed to make this a happy event. Before you go make sure you only take a clear bag as it is heavily enforced and complete your waivers online for all adults and kids beforehand.

Love the rink. Brand new floor, decent DJs, with some versatility to it. It's a good mixture of casual and above average skaters so anyone can go and have a good time. I just wish they had black lines to differentiate the middle of the floor from the outside. Just so new skaters or people working on middle work dont clash with those on the outside. Other than that, the rink is worth trying.

I went to adult skate after 8pm on a Monday. Solid crowd. Loved that they had roller blade rentals too.
This was honestly one of the best nights of
roller skating I’ve ever experienced. The vibe was so fun. Random groups of 2, 3, 4, 6 people would suddenly synchronize in fluid dance moves flowing around the rink.
When the music hit just right it felt like everyone in the rink just moved from skating around the rink to a free style dance party on skates.
Security and metal detectors were at the door.

Our youth ministry spent time at Wheels yesterday. We enjoyed ourselves so much!
They welcomed us with smiles and were helpful with any questions we had. Shout out to the manager and staff for making our time memorable. Special thanks to Traivyon. He was so patient and helpful on the skate floor with the kids. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this place.

We went to Wheels Durham for the opening weekend and had a great time with our 5yo. This space is very clean, well organized, with ample rink space and seating space. Be mindful that you will want to buy tickets in advance, particularly for the Kidz Bop early skate on the weekends—people were turned away at the door. Also, no bags are allowed or small clear bags. Also, no food or drink are permitted to enter. Overall good experience.

My family went on Sunday and had a great time! The opening week required online tickets to be pre-purchased and we missed seeing that in the flyer which was a bit frustrating. We needed up getting tickets for the next session at 3:30. But I understand the need to control the crowd with a new establishment.
Once inside the music, lighting, staff and venue were great. I brought my own skates and they rolled so well in the new floor.
My family and I will definitely be returning and we can’t wait for the splash park and other additions to come!

So happy it's back! Would recommend investing in a stationary medal detector at the door. The wand is cumbersome and slows down the process. Only a certain number should be let into the lobby area at a time. I think the shows should be gathered with the skate dispersment. Only because the moment someone's shoes gets stolen it will be an issue. Lastly, more staff at on concessions at night. It was complete chaos. Sweet staff, but they were not prepared. It was overwhelming for them.
Hoping that things get better as time goes on. Durham needed this place back...with an ironing out of some of the kinks I think it will a great new spot for the community.

I came for the adult night Monday and Friday. I think it was pretty nice except that the music that the DJ. Plays is aim more towards Popular skate styles and not the public who really just want to come hear popular music enjoy, have fun.and not being asked to clear the floor , to watch the Popular skater give a show. get it together

Had a great time for the first Monday night skate. Finally an Adult skate night for Monday nights. Plenty of parking onsite.
Rink is a decent size.
