This was my first time eating here. The cashier was nice but she was the only one up front taking ordered so we stood in line about 15 minutes waiting to place our ordered. I ordered the pork chops, yams and collards. The food was good. I would go back. I just think someone should have helped take the orders. I forgot to take a picture of my food but I got the sweet potato pie and it was very delicious. I took a picture of it.

Normally I don’t leave good reviews but I had to for this place while I’m at work. I love a good home cooking spot but they are always hard to find. I’ve been to the Soul forking Good right up the street but this place is wayyyyy better. I had the fried chicken wings, white rice with gravy and collard greens. Not a lot ppl can make good collard greens but this place them greens were fire!!! Definitely will be coming back. I was told the owner was there cooking food today. Hopefully the food is good like this every time.

Great restaurant to dine in or carry out. Food is great tasting & they're generous with the serving. Prices are in line with what you receive. Highly enjoyed & recommend.

Great experience! I was greeted immediately upon entering the door by a very friendly young man. My 2 pork chop plate with turkey greens and okra was ready when I arrived, and he made sure to check that it was correct before handing it to me. The food was EXCELLENT, and I will be back to try more items

Very good food and the portions are generous! I feel like I got my money’s worth. Much better than SFG, IMO. The greens were some of the best I’ve ever had. I loved the smoked turkey in them.
The yams were phenomenal and I liked that they added nutmeg to them. The veggies tasted very fresh. Nothing canned here. The curry chicken was fantastic. It wasn’t spicy at all, which was unexpected, but still good.
The fish was pretty good as well. I also liked the lemonade kool aid in the bottles. Very nostalgic. The only thing that was NOT good was the mac n cheese. Do not get it or you will be disappointed.
If they revamped their mac n cheese recipe they would be unstoppable. Other than that, I would definitely recommend coming here. The service up front was great and the young lady answered my questions patiently. I will be back!
