Very clean nice hotel. Pinky was the best, feel like I made a new friend, they are all so nice & treat you like family. The shuttle service was wonderful & quick. Definitely staying at this hotel again!

It is wonderful place to stay...within walking distance of Duke University Hospital. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are super, super clean. Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. Will definitely stay there again.

Our son was having Open Heart Surgery at Duke and the University Inn was a great plus for me, an 85 year old woman traveling alone. I have stayed in quite few nice hotels but this one was definitely the cleanest one ever, the personnel were helpful and the shuttle service was terrific. Location was perfect (although I admit to getting a bit lost walking to the hospital a time or 2). There were assorted snacks and microwaveable choices in the lobby as well as delicious muffins and free coffee and tea.This would also be an ideal choice for a home away from home for a longer visit medical visit.

If you're looking for a place to stay that's close to Duke hospital, University Inn is great. We've spent a lot of time there this year and the staff has been fantastic, the rooms are very clean, and the shuttle to the hospital is very convenient.

This is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and cozy. The entire staff are absolutely wonderful! They treat you with respect and are so caring. The shuttle is a convenient way to get back and forth to the hospital and anywhere you need to go. The drivers are wonderful and make you feel safe.

Clean and spacious rooms. The price is right, but my husband is physically challenged and was not able to use the toilet properly. The toilet/tub area was so narrow and therefore not navigable.
Do not stay here if you are handicapped. The parking is terrible and in short supply, the heavy doors are not automatic and no one is there to help with your luggage.

I was very impressed about the cleanliness of University Inn. I am talking about the baseboards and corners were immaculately clean. I do not look for things like that but it stood out. The Inn was cleaner than these so called expensive five stars. The price value was excellent. Location was good; I could walk to Duke Hospital which was very convenient for me. The Inn also has a shuttle service. Staff was pleasant. It was quiet. I felt safe. Snacks foods, microwaveable items, fruit, coffee, and a variety of drinks, etc. were available in the reception area. I do have some dislikes: The air conditioning did not work well. The parking is awful! It is jammed tight parking. I recommend staying University Inn. I definitely would lodge there again. I have previously.

We checked in around 11 pm and the woman who helped us was so very nice and pleasant to talk with after our three hour drive. The lobby was so clean, and the elevator was also. Our room smelled fresh and everything was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked great and the sound made it easy to fall asleep. The woman who greeted us in the morning at the desk was just as nice and friendly and we were so grateful for the shuttle there and back to and from Duke Medical Circle appointments for testing. The price was very reasonable and we highly recommend this inn and will stay again when we need to do so.
