I visit Durham often and always make plans to stop at The Borough! Madelaine has curated the most thoughtful items for home, gifting and self care. I can always find the most unique hostess gifts, birthday gifts and items for me too, all very reasonably priced. The store is beautifully decorated, each nook is an exploration! I am happy to support this small, local business woman. The Borough, located at Brightlead Square, is exactly the type of store downtown has needed.

An amazing little shop! There are so many things, large and small, available here. Lots of great ideas for your home and gifts for friends, family, or yourself, too! Some things are a bit pricey, but there are plenty of cute items for every budget.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't feel pressured to rush or to buy as I browsed. It was relaxing and welcoming! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area, but you can also make some purchases online as well, I believe.

My husband and I were visiting Durham and stopped in your shop! We were greeted and enjoyed talking with the knowledgeable lady working. We loved all of the matches, especially the ones by the Raleigh artist. We bought 2 of the Expresso Martini books of matches. 💗 We also bought butterfly picture in a frame. We will be back!
