I frequent The Borough every few weeks because they have such great gifts and home decor! The best tchotchke store in Durham for sure! Reasonably priced, beautifully decorated, and I can always find a gift (for others and myself).

I stumbled across this delightful shop while eating in Brightleaf in December and absolutely fell in love with the store. Every bespoke item feels thoughtfully curated, and I was so taken with a few pieces of artwork that my husband went back after we left and bought them for me for Christmas. The vintage/old world aesthetic of items fills a very much needed charming niche in Durham, and I'm so delighted this shop is here!

The *most* beautiful shop in Brightleaf. Each time I've stepped foot in the door, I am immediately delighted with the thoughtful curations of gifts and goods. It is such a wonderful experience to browse and shop the selection of home goods, art, candles, specialty chocolate, etc. I'm so happy this store is in downtown Durham! Added bonus, the shop owner Madeline is so very lovely. I've chatted with her each time I've visited, and she has been so warm and welcoming.
