Excellent jazz club in a small industrial park. Don't let the setting deter you from seeing and hearing some great jazz in this laid back local hotspot. Durham has a long tradition of talented musicians and Sharp 9 is the best place to hear them. Admission prices are very reasonable and you can bring your own food and drinks so a night out won't break the bank. Highly recommended!

Awesome experience. We saw the Sean Mason trio. The experience was AWESOME!! It was an intimate venue and you had The option to BYOB.

Amazing musicians, intimate setting. A non-profit that showcases today's talent and nurtures the next generation. Wish we'd found it sooner, so glad we did.

Great place to listen to amazing jazz. Bring your own alcohol, but they ask for a donation when you do. That classic jazz club aesthetic. They also offer jazz classes, too.

I've been to see jazz groups perform at Sharp 9 Gallery twice. This is a great space: small, with a supportive and well-informed audience. Everyone is friendly, too. It's a welcoming place. They sell wine by the glass but it looks like you can bring your own, too. I saw a few people with small coolers. The music is very good. There's also art on the walls, plus photos of past performances. I recommend Sharp 9!

Great small jazz listening room in Durham. Limited seating, intimate feel. You can bring in food BYOB although they have soft drinks and wine. A few snacks like nuts and chips otherwise there's no food. Ticket prices are reasonable, usually $20.00. Bands are mainly hosted from local musicians but have seen Laila Biali, award winning Canadian jazz pianist /singer, among others. The attendees are there for the music and that's what I love!

This is a great little venue for a night out and an intimate jazz experience. We went just post-pandemic so masks are required and there are no concessions yet as they hear back up. You can bring in water but that's it. The band we saw was the Eric Williams Quintet and they were great. We will definitely be going back.
