Kids love this place! My friend's son had a party there recently and all the kids and some adults had a ball playing in the common area and singing along with the staff during the music time. My friend provided the decorations but everything was set up well. The party ran smoothly and the staff were on top of things. No complaints.

Been here several times and the kid loves it. Apparently there's a lull in kids mid-afternoon so that might be a good time to go if your kid doesn't like large crowds.

I’ve gone to a few birthday parties here and each one has been great. They include play time and an activity. At one we made a home made kazoo which the kids loved.

Overall, it’s a fun little place, and my child had a great time. It’s compact, which makes it easy to keep an eye on your kids, but it can also get pretty chaotic when it’s busy.

The bounce house was a bit worrisome. The older kids don’t always watch out for the little ones, so parents of toddlers should stay close. There’s also a play room with a door that younger kids can wander into, but they may not know how to get back out on their own - my little one got stuck inside until I went in to get them.

The free-play area is fun and encourages imaginative play, though I wouldn’t really consider it a music development space.

Another concern was the slide. The waiver and signs clearly say one person at a time, but I saw multiple families ignoring that rule. I watched two children slide down together, and even saw a parent go down the slide with two kids. It honestly felt like many people either didn’t read the rules or simply chose not to follow them. I wish the staff enforced the safety rules more consistently, because it only takes one accident for someone to get seriously hurt.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Sadie for almost two years now, and we are so very grateful for having such a patient and generous instructor. My daughter has grown by leaps and bounds, and Ms. Sadie always explains the material covered after the lesson, and gives me pointers on how to structure practice at home.

The venue itself is very vibrant and playful. Being able to run around before and after lessons makes sitting still much easier for youngins. Front of house staff is welcoming and polite, and they go out of their way to make sure kids and adults feel seen and comfortable (particularly Sean -- kudos!).

Notasium is a great school with great teachers, facilities and service. My kids have been learning here for five years. I finally started learning the drums alongside my children. My two kids have been taking piano lessons at Notasium—starting with summer camps—and they’ve always loved it there. We’ve been impressed by their instructors across the board. We've taken lessons from Sadie for a variety of instruments; my daughter studied piano and later violin with her, she taught my son guitar, teachers the rock band, and now I’m learning drums from her. It’s been a fun journey, and she is truly an excellent teacher. My lessons started with foundational information and the need to find a rhythm in our communication—and I improved quickly in subsequent lessons. She would play electric guitar along with the grooves, which gave me a real sense of accomplishment.

Notasium’s layout is wonderfully designed. There are two entrances: one leads directly to the play area—which used to be our favorite entrance because it was always bustling with kids—while the other is a side entrance. The side entrance is much quieter and leads straight to the waiting area, where teachers usually greet the students and escort them to their respective music classrooms for lessons. They have free Wi-Fi, snacks, drinks, and coffee for purchase; they also allow us to bring in snacks and drinks.
