Both the atmosphere and service were great.
I especially enjoyed the shrimp tacos. They were very flavorful and SEASONED.
My partner said her green empanadas were good as well.
The only thing I wish they had were traditional chips and salsa, but I will be back if I’m in Durham! -
Great spot for authentic Mexican food!
The staff is super friendly and always pays attention to what you order. Food comes out really fast, and there's always a place to sit. Everything we’ve tried—tacos, tortas, enchiladas, and birria—has been delicious, full of real Mexican flavor. Best part? They welcome you with free fried wheat wheels (chicharrones de ruedita)! Definitely a place worth visiting. -
We ordered taco de pastor, cochinita pibil, carne asada and gringa de pastor, I don't recommend the pastor, the gringa is in corn tortilla, but what was disgusting was the quesadilla with rajas 🤢 I really regretted eating here. One of the main characteristics of Mexican food is the corn tortilla and the tortilla they give here is horrible, it breaks right away and the "salsas" have no flavor. The jamaica water is obviously not natural and has a lot of sugar. And the chicharrones they give as a starter made me laugh, it is appreciated but they are not good. The service is very friendly, the waiter served us very well. I do not recommend the food at this place. If you are not Mexican please don't think it is an original taste of Mexican food. When we finished eating we were left with that bitter taste of having eaten ugly and having to pay for it. Sad. The place has a good location and that's why I think people come. If you want to eat delicious Mexican food, I recommend "El huarache" -
Everything was AMAZING🤩🤩🤩. I didn’t get a picture of the churros but they were sooooooo great I had to get a second order. If you don’t know if you should try this restaurant or not….GO RIGHT NOW 🙏🏾🙌🏾 great respectful service. Don’t forget to leave a tip!!! ORGASM IN MY MOUTH🙌🏾😍 ( for simpler explanation )
1st time trying & it’s the BEST IN DURHAM -
We ordered the Carne con salsa Roja and Enchiladas Rojas and let me just everything was delicious and tastes like a grandma’s cooking. Although I wish the enchiladas came with sour cream. They give chicharrones con salsa which is a plus. I highly recommend the agua frescas. We got piña con mango and it didn’t disappoint. Definitely will back to try out the pozole!
