The rooms need deep cleaning and upgrades. There were holes in the wall. Bathroom back of door and back splash need CLEANED! Be aware that they are charging $10 p/d to park your car. They didn't even ask for make or model, just making an extra buck with no parking lot security. The front desk person was rude when we questioned it. Elevator had a rancid smell to it. Overall quality is not much for the exorbitant price.

Great atmosphere! Stayed there for business week, and solely ate at newtons lounge. Bar staff was really nice greeting me personally every time I ate. Also surprised how involved restaurant manager was. He was always available if I had any minor issues. I think his name was Paul. He had everything running smoothly. Room was nice and front desk helpful. Overall clean hotel.

This was a very nice hotel - all of the people working there were friendly and helpful. Our family went for a work trip and my children were able to enjoy the pool all day, all to themselves. The bar/restaurant area in the lobby is modern and vibrant, the convenience area near the front desk is well stocked with snacks and drinks for purchase. My only complaint (and note for families) - the bathroom door in the guest rooms doesn’t lock. It is sliding barn-door style and there’s no way to secure it. This isn’t a problem for most of their clientele - from what I can tell it’s mostly business people on work trips. However, if you’re traveling with a family that can present come challenges. The rooms are on the small size but they use all the space effectively. If I had a reason to be in this area again I would come back.

Maybe I got a bad room. Their sink and shower was slow to drain. Tried to call room service only to find the phone not hooked up. Wasn’t impressed. Did get it addressed but a few days later the sink was slow draining again. Guy at the breakfast service was attentive and nice as was most of the front desk staff. Housekeeping was underwhelming. The last 4 days of my stay they just cleared the trash but didn’t make the beds like the did during the first half of the stay. Breakfast was too pricey and not included. Also you have to go to Hilton next door to do any laundry yourself. This is cumbersome.

I checked into this hotel on 12/23 for a one night stay, unfortunately, because I literally had the best experience I’ve had here. Specifically, Jeanette Willis at the front desk was soooooooooo welcoming and accommodating and warm. I absolutely loved our interaction. I was coming in from a late flight and she really brighten my mood. There was an issue with a room I was assigned and with no hesitation or fuss, she instantly got me switched to a new room with a smile. This hotel has been such a blessing to stay at that I would recommend it to anymore. Location is great and the service is even greater. Also the breakfast!

My first time visiting Raleigh and staying at this Marriott. I was given a really bad room next to the elevator. You can hear everyone's conversations, steps on the floor, my neighbors blasting the news channel on full volume. Above my bed was probably the central sewage pipes and it was not pleasant hearing that sound every 4-5 minutes. I had to request an engineer to fix the sink because it would overflow - same thing happened to my coworkers room. I'm grateful for Mark hearing me out and moving me to a better room. I was also disappointed to find that every snack I picked up in the lobby store was expired. I notified the staff but it doesn't seem like they changed any of the items. Chips - candies - breakfast bars etc. I am not sure I want to consider a Marriott membership after this experience. Also numerous cars were broken into so I don't recommend leaving anything in your vehicle and/or parking close to the front if available.

The Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park located at 4700 Guardian Dr Durham, NC 27703 has been beautifully redecorated/modernized, and is a quality place to stay. Staff are helpful and friendly, the location is great, and there is a parking lot outside. Parking costs $10 daily. The TV in the room is gigantic, almost too big for the room, however the channels change very, very slowly - but it’s still great. There was an annoying hum that was pretty loud, but that’s what the A/C / Heat does when on. There IS A SOLUTION to the annoying hum in the rooms - put a rubber mat underneath the refrigerator, or take it out of the cabinet as it greatly echoes the sound of the motor. It’s extremely annoying as it’s loud!!! Is silent on the carpeted floor. Bed is comfortable! I invite you to follow my reviews as I have over 38 Million views to my photos/reviews here. Words cannot express my appreciation for the staff (and cleanliness) of this property. It looks dated on the outside, but once you step foot in the front door, the renovations will lead you to believe this is a new hotel. I was in town for less than ideal reasons and the staff here made certain I was comfortable and had everything I needed (including when I had to extend my stay at the last minute). The staff also went above and beyond by making sure I received a package to my home that was supposed to be delivered to the hotel during my stay.
