High Dive brings a fresh take on a fun, “stylish dive bar” experience, which is no surprise given it’s owned by the same people behind Bar Virgle and Annexe. It’s easy to make yourself at home surrounded by Durham memorabilia as you munch on free, freshly popped popcorn, shuffle through the vintage jukebox, catch a game on TV, order some melty cheese nachos with a cheap beer, or play a round of pool darts, foosball or pinball. There are also non-alcoholic beers and cocktails on the menu.

This is a hidden gem in downtown Durham! It’s a fun place to hangout and have drinks. They have a lot of fun games to play or you can watch a game on the big screen. The best part is that they have some of the cheapest drinks in Durham. The bartender does a great job!

Honestly an awesome time. The bar is so chill vibe with great music (and a Juke box!) and just a great place to hang., feels like the bar where you can always find a friend. The drinks were very good and well priced. I’ll be back!

High Dive is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. It has the vibe of a classy dive bar without the pretentiousness that usually comes with those places. High Dive has simple drinks at great prices. The service is quick and friendly. There are some classics on the free jukebox. Games- Pool, Foosball, Darts, Golden Tee, etc. The hotdogs are good and the free popcorn is a great touch. I have enjoyed watching games there, they have lots of TVs. Its also been a great place to grab a drink before a show at DPAC or after dinner.

High Dive is super rad.
Honestly, of all the spots my wife and I hit on our recent trip to Durham, High Dive ended up being our jam (total surprise)!
The place has a great atmosphere, super chill vibes, and incredible nachos, YES, like old-school, amazing NACHOS!
Come for the nachos, stay for the jukebox (best I've seen in years), pool table, and cheap High Life.

I have been eagerly awaiting High Dive to open in downtown Durham and it did not disappoint. It is located in the old Quarter Horse location, and has the same owners as Bar Virgile and Annexe. I loved the Durham memorabilia inside and the casual atmosphere. They have several TVs playing sports as well as lots of games such as pinball, pool, foosball, darts, and Golden Tee. There is also a jukebox and free popcorn machine. Aside from drink options, patrons can also order nachos.
