Gym Tacos has gained a lot of hype in Raleigh since opening in 2019; lucky for us, they’re bringing their tasty tacos (made with handmade corn tortillas), tortas, tostadas and burritos to the center of the Bull City. Losing longtime former tenant, Pompieri Pizza, was a hit for the area, so it’s nice to see another small local business picking up where they left off. Gym Tacos’ bright, fun and casual atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for happy hour meetups or family-friendly gatherings.

Delicious and great people! My husband and I happened upon Gym Tacos while we were out adventuring new places downtown Durham we haven’t tried. The two guys that we talked to were so friendly! We chatted a bit and got to know them and felt so welcome. They are half the reason we will be back! The food was delicious! It all tasted like one of my Abuelos or Tios just whipped up a good meal🌮🫶🏼

Had a really nice first experience. Ordered the shrimp burrito. Portion was nice and I appreciate that it was not greasy. Simple, tasty ingredients. 🙏

First time here recommended by friend. Good for a quick bite with friend(s). Veggie burrito was good - I'd probably get the guac on the side to keep the structure of burrito intact and temp warmer. Chips and salsa tasted very fresh. Including a Jarritos soda, I payed $25 before tip.

My family and I went to Gym Tacos for dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Steven at the front was so kind, friendly, and welcoming - he took such great care of us and made the whole experience even better. Excellent food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back!

I went on Saturday night and there were plenty of tables available. I can say the tacos tasted really good. I ordered the asada sope and the asada torta, the al pastor gringa, and horchata water, it was fine, not too sweet. The service was super friendly. It has an authentic Mexican taco flavor.
