My husband and I came to this studio to learn a first dance for our wedding. We took lessons with Olga, who was incredibly kind and helpful as we were just starting out with dancing together. She helped us create a beautiful first dance with so many turns and dips. Our guests were absolutely wowed!

My fiancée and I have passed by several times and decided to do lessons for our wedding. We were both very pleased with the lessons we received. The instruction was amazing, the studio was always alive with energy and positivity. Our instructor Julia was amazing and gave us an incredible routine! We were both very happy and would happily come back!

Come and change your life for the better!!!! There are few places with such incredible hospitality, and the level of instruction is truly amazing. The community of students is also so supportive and welcoming even though I still think going to my first practice party after just one lesson was the bravest thing I've done in my life 😂. You may be lucky enough to have Olga or Inna for your teachers -- their care and excitement to share their knowledge and love of dance is a blessing every time I go. It is truly rare to get to learn something from such highly qualified and talented teachers in such a close-up, dedicated, and personalized way. I simply could not put my gratitude for them in words (much less in a short review)! Over time it is a steep investment (I am 1.5 years in now), but the product in your own life and in your relationships with others is invaluable.

The absolute BEST place to learn to dance!! All the instructors are all professional dancers and champions in their field. Vadym and Vladimir are excellent teachers and we have lots of fun dancing. I am so blessed to have them as my teachers. It truly is my place of joy. There are students of all ages learning to dance here. The competitions and showcases are so much fun. I've been dancing with FADS Durham since February 2023 and it is not an exaggeration to say it has changed my life. I am happier, healthier, and more confident than I was when I started, and I feel so lucky to have gained a dance family. The other students--of all ages and experience levels--are supportive, welcoming, and generous with their knowledge and friendship. And the instructors are all talented dancers, effective teachers, and warm, kind-hearted individuals who help each student achieve whatever their individual goals may be.
But I have to especially recognize my two incredible instructors, Vladimir and Sasha. I'm so lucky to learn from them. They are each incredible dancers, so simply getting to watch them is a treat. But more importantly, they are patient, thoughtful, and creative teachers who use their expertise to break down steps and technique in different ways until I understand exactly what I have to do. They've taken me from a complete beginner to getting great results at competitions in just over a year. And this past weekend, at our studio's showcase, a 25-year-old dream of mine came true when I got to perform a style of dance I've admired for decades. But this was only possible because Vladimir believed in me and worked tirelessly to make sure I was ready for it.
One more thing: my then-11-year-old daughter saw me having such a great time that she asked to start lessons, too, and now she does both the kids group class and private lessons. Nataliia is absolutely fantastic with kids: high-energy, creative, supportive but with high expectations, and tons of fun. I highly recommend her group classes for children who are interested in dance!
In short: come dance with me at FADS Durham, where you'll find fantastic teachers and a wonderful community. You won't regret it.
