This new flagship location for Flying Bull Beer Company is a short walk to the Durham Food Hall and Durham Central Park, right in the center of it all. Order off the Bull Bites and Besitos menus and check out the in-house brewery, or take your drinks outside.
From the moment we walked in, Angie greeted us with smile and was very kind. Any time we had questions, she went out of her way to find the answer. The atmosphere was chill, as it was around 8 when we arrived. Very clean and cute space! The food is good. Maybe less guac on the nachos as it was a huge slab of it on top. The owner even stopped by the table and introduced himself. Very humble guy. He even mentioned the slab of guac lol! The burger sliders had good flavor. Nice portion. My husband got the pork chop which he said could have used more seasoning. Overall, great experience and would definitely go back!

I went early afternoon on Friday. To my surprise it was fairly empty. The atmosphere and presentation of the food and drinks is exceptional. It gives upscale but not pretentious. I loved trying multiple items on the menu and a couple of cocktails. My favorite items were the brussels sprouts and the wings. The staff was friendly and attentive. My husband likes to rate the water when we go out, the water here is 10 out of 10. He also loved the namana pudding. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area.

Fantastic Brewery and Restaurant Experience! What a gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — a perfect blend of laid-back and lively. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, especially Angie, who was happy to make recommendations. We ordered from the brunch menu and enjoyed the OG Burger and the Brisket Sandwich. As for the beer — we did the flights (via an Offline App offer) and every brew we tried was well-crafted, balanced, and full of character. There’s something here for everyone. We especially enjoyed the How to Train Your Dragonfruit IPA! Bonus points for the cozy outdoor seating area and the Brewery Tour led by one of the owners! We look forward to our next visit!

This place is awesome. Guillaume the bartender is a consummate professional who creates his own infusions from fresh ingredients. The owner has a unique vision in crafting beer and inspiring great shared dishes and entrees. The wine selections are so eclectic in that we had three appetizers and per suggestion from Gui, we had a German red from the Austrian border which was the perfect accompaniment. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. You really gotta check this place out even though there’s so many good options, but this one is special.

Miesha with Offline - This was our first time stopping in at Flying Bull. We were greeted when we arrived and seated immediately. We started with the Brussels and the Porkbelly. Both were awesome. The sauce on the Pork had the perfect amount of heat and the pickled onions were right amount of tangy on the Brussels. For mains, I ordered the tuna and my husband got the burger. Both were good. Also, recommend the Old Morning. I added a dash of simple but it would be good without it as well. We will be back again.

Great place to grab a local beer and some food. Joel the owner was a delight and brews a great beer. Dancing with the Bulls and recession proof were excellent. Had the brisket sandwich and deviled eggs. Both delicious. Look forward coming back.

Wowza!
I don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed with any food or service before! The brussel sprouts were the best dang thing ever. Even if you don’t think you like them- trust me and try ‘em. You’ll be glad you did. My salmon was perfect and the pesto sauce was so light and flavorful. I don’t think there are enough positive adjectives to describe just how delicious everything was. And our server Aidan was phenomenal. We live 75 miles away and we’re already planning a trip back! So, so, so good!

We chose Flying Bull to host a small family celebration. The atmosphere in the back of the restaurant was nice. The wings were delicious and my brother-in-law loved the burger. The other items we ordered were okay-not great. We would likely go back and give it another shot if the service had been better.
It was a Sunday night- steady but not busy. The bar was steps away from our table but for some reason, it took over 30 minutes for most of us to get our first cocktail. My Mom waited another five minutes after that and so did our toast.
Our waiter was polite but extremely slow and disorganized in checking in, clearing our table, freshening up our drinks, etc. The bar staff seemed to be struggling with the same issue. I imagine with a different crew, the service and our experience would have been much better.

Came on a Saturday at 2, wasn’t busy at all, the server was attentive and nice. The food was good, the Brussels were crispy, empanadas were chicken tinga and they were okay! I’d give them 3.5/5, just felt there was not enough in the empanada and the special sour cream sauce was just sour cream. The marshmallow espresso martini was yummy, but overpriced in my opinion. $16 for an espresso martini is a little outrageous. But overall, good restaurant.

We are frequent flyers and love it here! Best espresso martini in town. Great homemade veggie burger. And now they have weekend brunch with a beautifullly crafted brunch menu with classic breakfast items with a twist (like the French toast pictured).
