As single mom to a teenage boy, life can be super hard to navigate as it is. So, haircuts always escape me because, I quite literally don't know what I'm doing. I took my son in 10/07 to have his haircut and we ended up booking the wrong type of service online. The man who cut my sons hair was so kind, and so thoughtful and still cut his hair perfectly without making a big deal about it. We are so thankful for him and will be back!

Martin was my barber and he'll be my barber moving forward. The professionalism he shows before during and after the service is something to speak about. He shared his advice on ideas for my haircut as well as listened to my concerns and feedback with me cutting my locs off. Very personable and attentive. Barbershop is clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Since coming here, I have no complaints on my sons' haircuts! We originally started with Jacob, the owner and he does amazing! Our last visit, my son went to Millz for his Graduation Day and he did an amazing job! From the conversation with my son and making him comfortable, to the detail and questions he asked to ensure a perfect outcome!

My family has been going to Ego for a number of years. The stylists/barbers in the shop are wonderful. There is always laughter and good banter during our visits.

Professional cut....always nice to have a Barber take his time, and care about his work.....I have to travel a bit to get there, but we'll worth it!!! Martin does an excellent job!!!

Best barber in Durham & all a NC in my opinion! Atmosphere is laid back & so pleasant! Martin has to be one of the most amazing barbers I've ever met. I can tell his colleagues are just as cool, skillful & amazing as he is!

Visited Ego barber shop, where my husband and I received haircuts. Our barber, Martin, was awesome! He was attentive and made sure that we were pleased with our cuts. He is skilled & we loved our cuts! His professionalism and coolness is appreciated! The shop's atmosphere was welcoming, respectful, and nicely decorated, making for a wonderful visit. This was, undoubtedly, the best service we've ever had from a barber!

I just want to shout out my barber. Martin Eastman! The man is a beast with the clippers. He took over my “grow out” process when my previous barber moved. (hey India)
Since then he’s been keeping me right! I mean, I do drive from Wake Forest to Durham! If anyone is looking for a barber…call Martin!
