The staff at this location are always friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. They consistently provide excellent customer service, and I truly appreciate their efforts.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the reliability of the train schedule. Evening arrivals are consistently inconsistent, making it difficult to depend on the service. I use this train to commute to and from work because I believed it would save time and eliminate the stress of sitting in traffic. Instead, the frequent delays have made my commute unpredictable and frustrating.
As the Triangle area continues to grow, I would expect a greater investment in making rail transportation more reliable. A consistent, on time service would encourage more people to choose the train as a dependable alternative to driving. Right now, the lack of reliability makes it difficult to recommend this service to others who rely on it for work or other important commitments. -
So charming! I highly recommend taking the train to Charlotte. It’s such an easy commute.
The train station is an adaptive reuse of the old tobacco warehouse and it’s just charming. Old wooden benches, exposed ceilings with ductwork, and small tidbits of history.
The train station has vending machines but is also within walking distance of places to eat.
Check it out! Much easier than 1-85 driving! -
Took the train from Durham to dc. It was a great experience! So much legroom , everything was clean and well run and they even had fully stocked food section -
The Raleigh NC train station is a very nice place. Everything clean and they have the best staff at this train station kind, polite, respectful, helpful, and great customer service skills. Every person there has treated me with the most respect at that station every month when I travel back home to Raleigh, NC. I'm disabled and they get my suitcases help me on the cart to take me to the train. I feel so special every month when I go back home from my daughter house. When I tell you they all need a special lunch or a certificate for Great customer service skills they really do. Chelsea has really been extra nice always asking how I'm doing and helping me get to my taxi after I arrive back in Raleigh NC. I wish every train station had someone like Chelsea. -
I went there with my son today, and was greeted by Angie, who told me that the next train was 90 mins out, and then she gave me a coloring book, crayons, a cardboard folding thing of a train and a cardboard Condictor Hat for my son to keep him busy. My son ran off and almost got behind a truck that was backing up and then Leah ran after him to make sure he was safe. These two individuals really made this trip wonderful. They were both there when we got back to see the 1pm and 1:15pm trains, and answered all our questions about trains, proces and how long the trips take. I will definitely be back
