Craven Allen Gallery/House of Frames is a Durham, NC institution for the better part of four decades. Why? They discover and promote extraordinarily talented artists who catch the eye and move the soul. And they are fully committed to providing the very best framing services in the area! Craven Allen has so beautifully framed several of my art pieces, and I am the proud owner of two splendid Paul Hrusovsky works - purchased through Craven Allen! -
I cannot say enough good things about the folks at House of Frames. This was my first time getting an item professionally framed and with the sheer number of options it was a bit overwhelming at first. Mark and Nate could not have been more helpful and the process was fun, and relaxed. I just got my pieces today, put them up immediately, and could not be happier. Thank you to the whole team and I will certainly be back again! -
Spectacular framing by Craven Allen Gallery of Durham, NC. Nothing compares with this quality, Both paintings were also purchased from this gallery and they are in prominent places in my home. -
We have received extremely thoughtful support and advice while choosing frames and matting for our art work. We trust their expertise and skills in creating beautiful finished work. We’re so fortunate and grateful to have Craven Allen Gallery in the neighborhood! The art show openings are always a great way to see local art and celebrate the artists. -
The oldest and best framing store in Durham. There is a mind-bogglingly huge selection of frames, and the staff is knowledgeable and willing to put in two cents if you ask.
The art gallery downstairs is intimate, and the selections always worth a view.
Big friendly dog on site is a welcome bonus to any visit.
