I had a great experience. Not only was the hotel clean and in great shape, but also Bobby at the front desk was amazing. I accidentally left some items behind and Bobby coordinated with me over the phone to get my items back to more and handled the process personally. What a way to ensure customer service and create a repeat patron. I will definite stay at the AC next time I have to travel to Durham!

HORRIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY!!! Do not stay at this Hotel. I've stayed there many times now. Last time was 2 months ago. Typically you get a day or two before arrival to cancel without being charged. Now they've changed to a completely different, disgusting policy designed to defraud you!!! A MINIMUM of 30 days advance notice. If you cancel 29 days before scheduled arrival, you'll be charged the ENTIRE amount of your scheduled stay. Not just 1 night. No. All of it!!! You could be out $1000 easily. And the online booking tries to scam you into paying for an insurance (Allianz) to absolve you of the fee if you must cancel. However, that insurance is a joke. They have VERY strict stipulations. This is a silent policy change which was just rolled out and they expect people to just accept it. DON'T ACCEPT IT!

The overall stay was ok.
Weekday staff was awesome. Weekend staff was horrible. Front desk evening guy just sat around in the lounge around on his phone. The Weekend evening bartender acted like she hates her job and was never around and very short with people. I am a high up person with Marriott Bonvoy, they put me on the 3 floor right in front of the elevator, noise all day and people running up and down the hallways. Want stay there again.

Shower leaked all over the floor. We rented this room for 1 night with our two dogs. For a dog friendly hotel there was almost no place to walk them. Then in addition to the higher than average $175.00 nightly rate, we had to pay $25 to park overnight and $75 "fee" for the dogs. This quickly became a $300 room with taxes and other fees.

Recent stay from 4 Jan to 17 Jan. Everything went wrong starting from the check in. Charged for two rooms instead of one and front desk had no clue until a week later despite several charges on my card. Front desk team attempted to work through my charges but to date I am overcharged over $700 usd and getting no replies or explanation from the management despite multiple emails. Possibly the worst hotel experience in the states.
