I had a great experience. Not only was the hotel clean and in great shape, but also Bobby at the front desk was amazing. I accidentally left some items behind and Bobby coordinated with me over the phone to get my items back to more and handled the process personally. What a way to ensure customer service and create a repeat patron. I will definite stay at the AC next time I have to travel to Durham!

HORRIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY!!! Do not stay at this Hotel. I've stayed there many times now. Last time was 2 months ago. Typically you get a day or two before arrival to cancel without being charged. Now they've changed to a completely different, disgusting policy designed to defraud you!!! A MINIMUM of 30 days advance notice. If you cancel 29 days before scheduled arrival, you'll be charged the ENTIRE amount of your scheduled stay. Not just 1 night. No. All of it!!! You could be out $1000 easily. And the online booking tries to scam you into paying for an insurance (Allianz) to absolve you of the fee if you must cancel. However, that insurance is a joke. They have VERY strict stipulations. This is a silent policy change which was just rolled out and they expect people to just accept it. DON'T ACCEPT IT!

Shower leaked all over the floor. We rented this room for 1 night with our two dogs. For a dog friendly hotel there was almost no place to walk them. Then in addition to the higher than average $175.00 nightly rate, we had to pay $25 to park overnight and $75 "fee" for the dogs. This quickly became a $300 room with taxes and other fees.

01/25/2026 my company payed for us to stay here due to a blizzard we expected in Durham. Conveniently located with restaurants and stores walking distance along Erwin Rd . The hotel 🏨 staff was friendly accommodating us all and enjoyed my stay for the short we was there. Definitely recommend for another stay over

I’m a frequent Marriott guest and have stayed at many AC Hotels over the years. Because of that, I did not expect service at this property to be so far below what I normally experience across the Marriott brand.

Housekeeping was consistently poor — the room was not cleaned properly, and the sink area in particular was noticeably not wiped down. The most frustrating issue was the lack of basic towel service. Two of us stayed in the room and we started with only three bath towels. After housekeeping on the third day, there were somehow even fewer towels left, and no bath towels were refilled. We were left short for the remainder of the stay.

Having to worry about essentials like clean towels and basic cleanliness is unacceptable, especially for a Marriott-branded hotel. Overall, extremely disappointing. Worst AC Hotel ever.
