Party Illegal Presents: Ash Lauryn

After @ash_lauryn_ blessed Durham as part of @kingbritt’s Blacktronica at BOOMSlang back in May, we knew we needed her to return to the Bull City sooner rather than later.

So naturally we are ecstatic to welcome her back to @_boomclub next month on the @partyillegal @danleysoundlabs system alongside some of our favorites like @lexonloud @thefacesblur @lilyraynyc and lights by @phasemodlighting!

Detroit-born and Atlanta-based, Ash Lauryn is pushing the Black American roots of house and techno forward. Her acclaimed platform, @undergroundandblack , which began as a blog and later evolved into a beloved @nts_radio show and event series, has become a cornerstone of honest storytelling and celebration within the electronic dance community. Ash Lauryn’s releases, including collaborations with @stefanringerfwm, @jimpster_gram, and the timeless anthem “Underground & Black” with @kaialce blend Detroit house roots with soulful spoken word. Not to mention her family-centered day party @mothermayi_atl, Ash Lauryn is truly preserving the roots of dance music into the future.
