This year’s theme, “Who’s World Is This?” is inspired by the question Nas first posed in 1994. Communities are still answering it. Born in 2019 as an official educational partner of the inaugural Dreamville Festival, HHIHE is a nationally recognized day of interactive workshops, keynotes, breakout sessions, performances, community celebration, and cultural power. They are bringing together scientists, educators, artists, civic leaders, business professionals, students, and community advocates — all united by the belief that hip hop is a civic tool, an economic engine, a healing force, and the voice of the people — Hip Hop IS Higher Ed!
