Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson
DPAC
One of America’s most well-known scientists is returning to DPAC with an all-new lecture. Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, author, and science communicator that has devoted his career to sharing his knowledge of complex concepts with others and known for his ability to make difficult concepts accessible to every audience.
Neil deGrasse Tyson will bring his newest lecture to DPAC, “Cosmic Collisions." All the things that go bump in the night (and in the day). And yes, the universe wants to kill you: On occasion these collisions -- asteroid & comet impacts on Earth, render life extinct. Learn why and how this happens, and what we are doing (or not doing) about it.
