Can We Learn About Psi from Our Pets? with Rupert Sheldrake

Animal psi: Telepathy, precognition, the sense of direction, psi trailing, and the sense of being stared at, with Rupert Sheldrake, PhD

Dogs that know when their owners are coming home; cats that answer the telephone when a person they are attached to is calling; horses that can find their way home over unfamiliar terrain; animals that anticipate earthquakes; parrots that voice their owner's thoughts; pets that can be woken by people staring at them: These are some aspects of animal behavior that suggest the existence of forms of perceptiveness that lie beyond present-day scientific understanding.

In this presentation, biologist and author Dr. Rupert Sheldrake will discuss his empirical research on these and other animal behaviors. He will explore how such phenomena might have evolved and consider how animal behavior may offer a new perspective on human psychic experiences, making them seem more natural and less extraordinary. Dr. Sheldrake is the author of more than 100 technical papers and nine books, including "Dogs that Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home" (Crown, 1999).
