Blessing of the Animals at St. Luke’s, Durham
Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church
Phone: (919) 286-2273
All pets are welcome for a blessing – dogs, cats, birds, iguanas, hamsters, snakes, all pets — and their people are invited! If your pet is shy or easily stressed, the priest will gladly bless their photo or a favorite toy instead. There will be music. So, join your fellow animal lovers at St. Luke’s on Saturday, October 3th between 1:00 and 3:00 pm at 1737 Hillandale Road, Durham. All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier. St. Francis wrote: “Be Praised, my Lord, through all your Creatures.”
