I’ve heard about this restaurant for years and finally had the pleasure of enjoying it during a community event in December. The southern fried chicken and plantains were delicious. I need to try the whiting which smelled even better but sold out pretty early that day. I’ve never had slaw like that - it was also so delicious! Service was fine. I look forward to checking out the restaurant, hopefully during a non-peak time 😅

when I tell you guys, this is the best Caribbean soul fusion restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m not just saying that I mean it. The service is great. The atmosphere is so lively, music playing in the background. The staff is happy and hard at work. The owners are really kind, They even gave us a sample of their signature mac & cheese and yam (it was delicious). I highly suggest Coming here if you are in the Durham area. here in the picture is their jerk, chicken beans, and rice with a side of cabbage and a beef patty. The jerk chicken was jerking. The rice was so nice and fluffy. The cabbage was savory with a touch of sweetness, and the beef patty was so flaky and fresh.

They open at 11:30 and we was there early. As soon as they opened people started coming in. The weekend I hear is crazy busy.
I enjoy coming to this place!! The food was good. I got the oxtails and chicken with rice. Great flavor the chicken was a little too salty. I would love to come back and try more. -
UPDATE:
I returned here on 2/17/26, hoping to have another GREAT Experience.
I live in Raleigh. But after my last great experience, it is worth the drive.
I ordered the Chicken Trio once again. But this time found a curly hair in my food. What made it bad is the hair got caught in my tooth and I literally had to pull it out.
I live too far away to have returned my plate and I tried calling, but it just goes to voicemail.
This was disappointing as I literally had to throw the entire plate in the garbage.

THIS PLACE IS THE VIBE!!! Everyone is welcoming and attentive.
The food comes out hot, delicious and fresh.
The restaurant is very clean and the music is jamming.
We live in Raleigh, and we were just driving by. But I’m so glad we stopped in.

My 1st time eating at Where's The Jerk. I bought 4 different plates. I was going to have 4 adults eating from these plates. 1st, the food was plentiful in each plate. 4 adults ate from them and got enough. The service was really good. By it being my 1st time there, the young lady was patient and friendly. She didn't mind explaining about the different food options. When I tell you that this food is good. Trust me. It really is. I am so glad that my sister recommended this restaurant. Thanks for the service and great food. I am on my way back for the lamb chops and honey jerk shrimp and salmon. ❤️❤️
