We started looking at pontoon boats in August of 2025. Over the course of the next 3 months, learning the details of four manufacturers gave us the knowledge to make an informed buying decision. Not only did we learn about nuts and bolts, construction techniques and materials, but we also found a salesperson that we clicked with. That salesperson from Water World in Durham, NC, is Deondre Partridge. Deondre has been “on the water” for many years, and with great certainty, longer than selling vessels. Nevertheless, he is very knowledgeable and shares his expertise in an easy-going, laid-back style. He found out what floor plan we wanted and gave us options that were around our price point. He showed us New Inventory on the way to the dealership as well as leftovers and used boats on the lot. Then, he guided us through the manufacture website to build a pontoon exactly the way we wanted. Our in-person visits were low key and conversational, NOT pushy. We leaned on him for factual data and picked his brain for those nautical life lessons he brings from Jordan Lake. Deondre was optimistic, positive and great to work with. Many of our exchanges were conducted via text or email and he answered us in a very timely manner. I say he worked hard to provide us with all the information that we asked for. He reminded us to contact him with any questions we thought of. As first-time boat buyers, we had a lot to learn, and Professor Deondre brought us up to speed in ways that YouTube didn’t. If you find yourself in the market for a vessel, I recommend a visit to Water World and ask for Deondre. He taught us about Pontoons, Tri-toons, Deck Boats and trailers. We enjoyed working with Deondre and speak very favorably of him.

The dive shop (Triangle Dive Shop) at Water World is fantastic! I'm a new diver, and the team has been enormously help throughout the entire process. Amy walked me through the initial gear I needed to purchase, explaining the advantages of different options at different price points with transparency. Brett and Ethan, assisted by Tim, led my closed water training in the pool; all were clear, patient, and kind. Clay and Karl led my open water certification dives in Fantasy Lake and made the day a lot of fun despite terrible visibility. Just recently, the shop hosted an underwater field day for customer appreciation, which helped me meet a lot of other divers in the community, plus there were fun events, food, and prizes. For all of these dives, Whit and Katrin helped me select the correct rental gear, all of which has been in great condition. This dive shop is full of great folks, and I'm glad to know they will continue to be able to support me as I continue my scuba journey!

We are In the 'middle' of purchasing a boat from WaterWorld. Although we have not picked up / taken ownership of our boat as of yet - I wanted to give a shout out to David K and the extended Waterworld team for the extremely positive customer service experience we have had thus far in the transaction. David has gone over/above in thoroughly answering our detailed questions, sharing his expertise and educating us on options/details with very quick response time. We truly feel like David wants us to know everything about our boat, feel good about our decision, get a quality product and enjoy the boat for years to come. Refreshing to deal with a sales team that partners with you throughout your purchase. We will update our review again once the purchase is complete.
