Step into the Old North Bar for the experience of having a drink at your home away from home. Equal parts neighborhood bar, cocktail lounge and all-around great hang spot, this bar is just where you want to be if you're looking for an unassuming spot that will satisfy the snobs in the group. Add in that you can grab a hot dog from Hawk Dogs out front on any given night, and Old North Bar becomes pretty hard to beat.

I was a big fan of The Accordion Club back when it was still around and was quite sad when it closed. BUT it has been reborn as Old North Bar and WOW! Still has a lot of the same vibe as Accordion... but it's even better now. The cocktails are top notch and the prices are great. The bartenders are super nice and attentive. More seating than before. The Low Life special is, well, pretty special. Everybody seemed to having a really great time last night. The energy of the place is great.

If you’re looking for your new “third place,” this is it! Old North Bar combines an elevated yet relaxed atmosphere with an excellent selection of craft cocktails - perfect for meeting friends and catching up while you explore downtown Durham. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable about their work and very kind, which elevates the experience even more. Old North Bar is a must-visit stop on your next adventure in downtown!

They do some food pop ups like Hotdogs! 5 stars just for that but not kitchen on site. Awesome bar staff and a great beer selection with lots of variety. Really diverse cocktail menu as well

What a unique combination of a dive bar and a cocktail bar. Few places in the state offer such a value with the level of expertise.

I was given friendly service and recommended bespoke cocktails based on my personal taste. Truly a great experience and a place to elevate the charming district of Old North Durham.

Highly recommend!
