Really enjoyable experience! Great cocktails and really awesome food from the apps to the desserts. Small and part of the hotel so not real busy and pretty quiet.

Excellent place for a nice sit down dinner. They have a smoked cauliflower dish that is amazing and not often on the menu. Ask for it special.

What a wonderful experience ... from the warm greeting to the delightful desserts and everything else in between Mozelle's has a niche making you feel that "what matter to them"is "what matters to you", our waiter Tommy was helpful providing excellent suggestions for various tastes, the wine list is thoughtfully procured allowing many selections based on taste and budget profile.

My husband and I love to dine here, so much so that we travel from Virginia! The mussels and dry aged steak are mouth watering. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Committed to sustainably ethically raised meats, delicious preparation with thoughtful intention, wonderful friendly attentive service. All restaurants should be refusing to serve meat that is raised on farms that cage animals and that contribute to global warming. Ethical farming can lower carbon and contribute to global cooling. Start eating responsibly and asking all restaurants to only serve ethically raised meat. Thank you also to Bull city burger and Luna as well as other awake restaurants. That is what is hip!

Nice place for a casual, unpretentious lunch.... limited selection but the food was great (the French fries are the BOMB)!

I had a fabulous but brief stay while moving my sister into an apartment nearby. I arrived exhausted, but the staff was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They greeted me with cold water and a Burt’s Bees chap stick. It is amazing what an impact friendliness and little extras can have on your day.

My wife and I dined here on 3/31/22.
Atmosphere of the restaurant was great. It’s old, but very well kept. The vibe of the restaurant is like none other in the area.
The food was good. My wife enjoyed her dish and the appetizer. I wasn’t thrilled with my entree (swordfish), but I would certainly come again and try something different. I think I just ordered the wrong item for me. I decided to branch out from my normal menu items and it didn’t work this time. Everything was cooked very well, though!
The service was outstanding. Our waitress was Emily and she was one of the best servers I’ve had in Durham. She was attentive, patient when we weren’t sure what to drink, knowledgeable of the menu items, and genuinely friendly. She (along with 2 others whose names I do not know) ensured we never had empty water glasses and provided exemplary service.

I really enjoyed getting brunch at the Durham Hotel. The restaurant is so beautiful with its retro decor. The room is huge with tall ceilings so it feels really open and airy. I got the French toast fried chicken and it was delicious. I also got a coffee soda which I loved. The service was excellent as well.

I have been here for brunch and dinner. The food was great for both. I believe that this is a great place to dine and a perfect place to meet a few friends and to also take visiting out of towners. The hotel itself if a unique experience.

We enjoyed the cocktails! The appetizers were also good, and the desserts were great! The Espresso Crème Brûlée was our favorite, followed by the Dark Chocolate Cheesecake, then the Key Lime Curd, the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, and finally, the Vegan Orange Almond Cake(it was a little dry and dense). However, the absolute BEST part of our dining experience from the restaurant at the Durham Hotel was our amazing waitress, Emily! Emily was very catering. She remembered our dietary needs and modified them accordingly. She never let us wait for long before checking up on us. She was consistent throughout our entire dining experience(we were there till closing for a sisters lunch turned into dinner get together). She helped take our pictures! She was great! Emily is a great part of this business, and we will request her EVERY TIME we dine there, for sure! She deserves a raise and a bonus! It's not easy caring for a table of 13 people. She did it with ease, comfort, confidence, and professionalism! Great job, Emily!!!

Wait staff knowledgeable. Expensive. Lots of local farm to table items. Be sure to ask the daily special. Expensive. French fries with fennel very good. Large open room so ask for table beside window or wall to have any privacy at all. Wine list also expensive. It is onen on Monday nites where most other first class restaurants are closed.

Creative, seasonal dishes featuring The best local ingredients. Our server was very knowledgeable about ingredients, menu items and gave our group great recommendations and brought the menu to life with her great descriptions.
Service was on point but also unobtrusive, which I found appealing.
Will definitely return!

I decided to try the burger. They age their meat for 60 days with a dry rub. Served on a brioche bun with some very good thin fries. It was an excellent burger.
The menu is creative and some might call it swanky but, it was really good for us. The roasted brussel sprout dish was a taste treat as well.
Nice, comfortable decor and of course the open air bar on the roof is cool too! We will certainly go back.

They try too hard to have an "upscale" menu, but everything falls just short. Nothing was bad, but nothing made we want to return either.

Relaxing atmosphere for morning after a concert at DPac but also lots of business brewing on a Monday morning workday. Delightful staff at front desk and bar. Slim pickins' for complimentary breakfast but enjoyable. Boiled eggs were perfectly medium, corn muffin was tasty and slab- literally 3 small slabs-of bacon was fried deliciously original.

Went here for dinner. As a preface, I would call us food snobs at times. We really enjoyed our experience at The Durham hotel restaurant from drinks, starters, sides, mains and desserts, we were not disappointed. We had the fish, which was amazing. The baked oysters were delicious. Our server was also great, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go again.
