Great place to sample a couple of ounces of a large selection of different brews and ciders. Bring your own food from neighboring restaurants and play a boardgame or two with friends. Noise levels vary depending on the crowd.

Love this idea, pay for what you pour; as much or as little as you want. Incredible selection, too (bonus points for having a New England IPA). Already recommended.

This is a great place to sample a massive selection of brews from ciders, lagers, IPA’s and wines. There's even CBD seltzers.
Its priced by the ounce so a 14 ounce glass can set you back a bit. Its self pour though so you can gauge if you want to sample a few or dive in. The tech is great. Easy to use and the beer is cold.

I mainly wanted to thank the staff and owners for their support. I was attending a recent downtown Durham demonstration and was in the hot sun for awhile and some Good Samaritan passersby saw I was not doing well and helped me into the restaurant to get hydrated and recover from the dizziness I was beginning to experience. I was brought water and made comfortable on their sofa. Thanks to all involved! I learned a lesson. Next time take a water bottle.

A favorite place to stop in at while downtown. The pour-your-own wristband system is more or less custom flights, which is great for trying out new stuff, and if you're wanting to keep your alcohol intake relatively low it's easy to just get small samples to taste. I've discovered a number of very interesting beers and ciders here.
Staffing tends to be minimal, as you get your own drinks.
They've recently started experimenting with adding in kombucha to the lineup, for non-drinkers in a group.
Overall, one of my two go-to bars in Durham.

Great beers, in a self serve environment. I wanted more brown, Scottish, red, or Irish ales, but given the location and audience, they're hitting the mark.
It's great to try only 1 ounce of something before committing to a full pint.

Friendly staff. Limited selection of dark beers (2). One white wine selection. Low value for money
