The falafel will melt in your mouth here. Hidden away in the Parkwood neighborhood since 2014, this spot is owned by three men who are committed to made-from-scratch gyros, baklava and other Mediterranean delicacies.

During our first visit to Durham we were recommended this eatery as a hidden gem. It was amazingly good. My wife and I had a falafel platter and chicken kabob with sides. Large portions, low prices, and I have never had better versions of falafel or chicken kabobs in any city. The spices were perfect. The eggplant side had a slightly sweet but amazing taste. I finished with the best baklava I have had in 20 years. The grill is a little out of the way, they have inside and outside seating, but well worth the trip -
The best Mediterranean food I've had outside of Greece itself. Very professional and friendly cashier. He warned me that the Kofta takes a little longer to make, but it's worth the wait. He hit the nail on the head because it was incredible. My lady got the Falafel and she thought it was excellent as well. We both got the curry chickpeas as a side and we both loved it. Highly doubt that anything on the menu at this place is not delicious. Highly recommend, especially if you want to support locally owned business. -
I love Med Grill! The food is truly fantastic. I had them cater our wedding last weekend and they went above and beyond. They were great to coordinate with, they delivered to the venue and it was way more affordable than traditional caterers. Multiple different people said it was the best meal they’d ever had at a wedding. Thank you! -
Great Mediterranean restaurant. We had the chicken shawarma and falafel pita. We also ordered a three-dish side of hummus, baba ganoush and a fava bean dish. All the dishes were great and we'll be back again soon. -
Every once in a while you find a local gem that's serving great food, generous portions and just clearly tied to the community. This is one of those places. This humble restaurant easily has the best Greek in the Triangle -- and it's affordable.
Every time I step in, I'm greeted by the incredibly friendly staff, and they instantly make you feel at home. Don't know what you want? They'll happily walk you through the menu. As for my own recommendations? You can't go wrong with any of the gyros or the shawarma. The hummus is an easy choice but I would also encourage everyone to try to megadara. And naturally, the bakalva as well
Give them a visit and show them some love, they deserve it
