This is a really great Y! The staff here is super friendly and keep the facilities clean and the machines are almost always in working order. It does get a bit crowded at times, but it is nothing compared to some of the bigger gyms out there. Would recommend to anyone in the Durham area!
Edit a few years later - still a great gym, but the parking and crowdedness is out of control. I can't even find parking half the times I visit these days. We need a bigger YMCA in south durham!

Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The staff greets you with a smile . A great place to go after a busy day.
