Wow what an improvement! This course was at once mostly unplayable but now it is on the way to being one of the nicest courses in the area. They have improved every aspect of the course. After a couple of years grass growth this place will be a 5 star course.

LAKE WINDS GOLF COURSE...FINALLY!!! Hats off to Jeff Coffey and his crew for bringing Lake Winds back to a great new level!! Me and a buddy played yesterday (Aug.19) and I was totally surprised and glad that the course is now been the best it has been in years and getting better every day!! The changes are amazing and beautiful. Thanks Jeff and we will be back!! You other golfers...give it a try!! It would be nice to see the weekday senior rate go down $3 so I could buy a beer!!

Didnt play the course, just used the range and short game area. Big improvement on the greens, and clubhouse updates. Looks modern. Keep up the good work!

WOW! What a difference 12 months and new management can make. This course was in terrible condition like most of the 1+ year old posts describe. However, lots of work has been done since then and it's noticeable as soon as you pull onto the property and walk into the clubhouse. Renovations are still being made but the course is 100x better than in the past and I'm looking forward to the next round.

Lots of potential. great layout. would love an update on the state of the renovations. Appreciate Mr. Coffey investing in the course Latest review ( previous below) Played mid April and improvement is definitely showing fairways are improving And they are blending some of the new sod in. The greens are 100 x better. First off they are green, secondly they are largely smooth. From where they started they are now about 80-90% smoothed out with a few remaining bare or uneven patches. A bit hard but when they can be aerated that will improve as well. Some of the holes have been made longer and the tee boxes can still be sketchy. Some holes are punishingly long off the tee over water (17, I’m cursing at you) Overall continued optimism and definitely should be on or near your radar Just as a follow up- played the course last day of last year. Things are in the works. Most obvious are upgrades to the clubhouse exterior ( and pool area!), renovated cart paths and bridges, new carts with gps, and a lot of tree removal. The latter opens the course up and perhaps is also aimed at improving growing conditions for areas of the fairways and greens. Some early signs of improvement in the tees fairways and greens but nothing substantial. One odd aspect is that some of the bare areas have squares of sod laid down creating abrupt changes in the thickness and level of the areas. Hopefully these will be blended into the surrounding grass during a more significant upgrade this spring. So change is happening but nothing substantial yet in terms of playability. Memberships are now available but their initiation and monthly fees don’t make sense for what’s currently on offer especially if you don’t live close and expect to play a lot of weekday afternoons 4/8. Looking forward to playing this spring. Another positive sign is that ownership is responding to posts here and confirming they have plans in action for the greens and fairways. Would really love to see the grass rise to the level of the location and layout. Membership might be attractive if they offer a package for those who look to play fewer rounds each month due to work and distance.
