Koumi Japanese Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is fresh and delicious, and the service truly sets it apart. Our server, **Rona**, was amazing—personal, attentive, and genuinely kind. He made the entire experience feel special.

I've been craving hibachi but not much options on this side of town. I've seen this place and very hesitant to try it because it is always so deserted, no customers in parking lot or going in/out. Not sure how they have so many reviews when business seems slow and wondering how they can afford to stay open. I finally tried it and was pleased, I've had better but the staff was really friendly, food was hot and fresh. I would try again.

The food was delicious, and the owner/server was so patient and sweet. We were 5 adults and 4 kids. We ordered a lot. Sushi, thai, pho, hibachi(s) (bay scallops/shrimp/steak), eggrolls, etc. It all was so tasty!! We brought in our own cake for a bday but we forgot the candle. She didn’t have one either but she offered to dim the lights while we sang. Omg so sweet! A little bit of a hole in the wall essence but that’s okay bc the food and people who work there will keep us all coming back. This will be our new favorite takeout spot!

We celebrated our granddaughter's birthday there, and they went out of their way to make sure that everything was good for the kids! Very friendly, accommodating staff and we had a lovely evening! They even dimmed the restaurant lights so we could sing "happy birthday"!

Top quality food, friendly service, more than generous portions, and good prices! Food came out quick and was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the Hibachi Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai! Will definitely be back!

This has been a secret little spot for my husband and me for years. Ownership has changed a few times, but it's always been a wonderful experience. My husband will ONLY eat deep fried sushi and this spot has several for him to choose from. Prices are extremely reasonable. 10/10

Amazing food! I ordered the Pho Tai and the broth had amazing rich flavor. The fried rice was prepared perfectly, everything was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Got 2 plates on a Friday night 29$ The chicken and Shrimp was really good. Was met with a friendly staff member as soon as I walked through the door, will be back ! The outside and in has been really run down and an employee let me know they're planning on making a new menu soon along with looking to fix /improve the restraunt. This place has a special place in my heart because in 2017 after 37 hrs of labor my husband was able to bring me clear soup from here,to eat I still credit it for bringing me back to life.

I enjoy a low-key ambiance with great service and Angelica provided that exceedingly! The entire staff has been friendly also! Always a great selection so I can go among Hibachi Vegetables, Tofu, Salmon, Shrimp or Steak! I enjoy the Sesame Chicken and Beef with Broccoli also! Thank you and of course, my sisters and I will return!

I came here a few years ago and wasn't impressed. I decided to give them another shot and was happy I did!!! Their sushi is on point! I have also tried several other items on their menu and they also did not disappoint. I have made this a restaurant that I would suggest to friends regularly now.
I would recommend to the owners if its possible to make the outside look a little more inviting, since that is the reason people are scared to try it. But it's definitely worth it!!
The service is friendly and fast. The food is reasonably priced with good portions. The inside is very clean and even what you can see of the kitchen/sushi bar also looks clean.
Don't read a book by its cover!! Give them a try!

I couldn’t believe how good it is. The best Chirashi Bowl I had ever had. My parents couldn’t stop saying everything was so delicious, and wish we could come back again. Highly recommended to sushi and udon lovers.
