Originally named El Toro Park when it was built in 1926, this spot served as the home of the Durham Bulls for almost 70 years. The historic, newly renovated Durham Athletic Park is available for special events and baseball rentals year-round. The DAP was also the filming location for the hit film “Bull Durham.” The DAP is available to host single baseball games, multi-game series, showcase events, scouting events, batting practice and tournaments. The ballpark features home and visitor dugouts along with bullpen benches.

After watching Bull Durham 100 times, it was awesome to finally visit the field. The former home of the Bulls, still hosts local high school teams as well as travel ball tournaments. The grounds crew welcomed me inside after seeing me looking through the fence. Jimmy was awesome and gave me a ball from the tournament and let me walk around and take pictures. If you've seen the movie and are a baseball fan, you should definitely visit when in Durham.

Baseball history at its finest. A must experience no matter the level of the game being played.
