good condition and layout for the greens fees. facilities are nice, driving range was hitting off mats only. greens roll true and are pretty fast. some pin placements challenging which leads to the downside to the course - the pace of play. we went on a saturday in March and tee times were running late at 11am. Over a 5 hour round with no rangers at all. other downside were the mats on the par 3's - which can be ok if the course has decent mats, but these were tough to hit off of. recommend a mid week round and avoid weekends. -
Greens good shape. All bunkers have been redone. Need some major work on tee boxes and fairways . ALOT of bare spots and hard pack right in the middle of fairways. Go down the the road and pay about $10 more and play The Crossings -
The course is good, but they need better food options. Pack a lunch for this place. People (staff) are really nice, and they try to keep it classy. Bunkers looked great today (early June), while many others seem to be more mud than sand. Thursday- Sunday, you will wait, so don't expect a quick round. Usually no less than 4.5-5+ on weekends. Cannot get the 5th star without better food options, in my opinion. Otherwise, no complaints! I really like this course. -
$68 now. The fairways have no grass mostly uneven, the tee box’s are uneven with no grass some are all sand and the simple fact they are charging premium to play here is ridiculous. For $70 a round in Durham, you should be at Duke OR Finley conditions. You can’t tax people and then give them $25 golf course conditions.
Once they fix the conditions I’d be happy to pay that much but until then I can’t come back here. -
Best shape I have ever seen this course in the past 15 years. I stopped playing it due to horrible course conditions, but things have really improved. Will definitely be back.
