The food was really good! Took the Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki.
The Okonomiyaki was one of the best I had in this country!
Thanks to Greg who was really nice and he knows that my only recommendation for next time is a little bit more Katsu sauce on top ;) -
The staff are very nice and helpful with the menu. I ordered pork belly banh mi and the ginger chicken dumplings and we loved both!!! The dumplings are juicy and moist and perfect! 10/10 -
The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful explaining the entrees, it didn’t take long to get my order, but the food was not the best. My steak was flavored well, but it was cooked so tough that I could barely chew it, my rice and veggies were extremely cold and I was unable to chew through them as well -
Nice Asian food pop-up in the Durham Food Hall but I had to give the food only ⭐️⭐️⭐️ bc I really appreciated the excellent tofu in their rice bowl and the service was very nice; however, there are a bunch of raw pieces of carrots, daikon, & cabbage that are DYING for some sauce. It’s honestly hard to eat large, dry pieces of these veggies. If you start pickling them Asian-style or adding some sauce to them, this bowl would be AMAZING! (The rice and tofu were delicious but there’s only so many raw root veggies one can eat). -
Cool spot. I found the okonomiyaki tasty and with lots of pork belly. I’m not going to call it authentic, which it isn’t advertised to be, I’ve had the “real” kind too, but I liked it.
Definitely recommend the party fries. And the karaage bowl was alright, lots of rice.
Will have to try the homemade dumplings another time!
