The Comfort Inn and Suites is a really good place to stay that should fit into a tight budget. The staff are friendly and the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. They offer a hot or continental breakfast complimentary with the room. The suite bathroom was recently updated with a walk out shower. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel is definitely trying to do some updates to make the accommodations nicer. Our bathroom was spacious and updated, the water pressure and temperature were great. I have terrible back problems but I found the bed to be comfortable. There was a mark on our carpet that I think was just a burn mark and an odd smell when we first arrived that kind of smelled like bleach cleaner. The rooms were very clean but the walls are super thin. We heard every conversation in the hallway or at the pool. The breakfast was hot and ready early with a typical continental selection. It would have been nice if they had prepare oatmeal or grits instead of the instant packets. Check in and check out were easy and the guest services were attentive although juggling a very busy phone. The elevator is a little slow and the parking lot is a bit tight. Be careful parking because the lane is very narrow and parking is limited. Overall, this was a good stay and it’s only 5 minutes away from all the Duke main campus medical buildings which is why we stayed here. They also have a medical rate for patients which makes it affordable. It’s a convenient, comfortable option if you need to be near Duke and you’re coming from out of town.

Very clean. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job. The lady who takes care of breakfast keeps the breakfast area tidy as well. All the staff were pleasant and obviously are treated well as they seem to be happy employees. The hotel is kept very clean. It seems like the interior has had an update as the walls look recently painted in the rooms with new towels and linens. Our room/bathroom were very clean and had everything you could need....excellent A/C, iron, coffee maker, nice bathroom amenities, microwave and fridge. The equipment in the gym all functioned as they should. It had fresh towels, a water cooler and great a/c. Rooms are on the large side. Breakfast was standard fare for this class of hotel. Why not five stars? The elevators haven't gotten a facelift as well as the exterior of the building. There were spots of paint where there shouldn't be in the room/bathroom. Minor things. Convenient location if you need the university or hospital (about a six minute car ride).

This was an emergency booking due to a foul up with an Air B&B. What a wonderful surprise. Got 3 rooms on the same floor with 2 connecting for our large family group. Rooms were spacious, beds and chairs comfortable. Bathroom, soaps and shampoo was exceptionally pleasant. Entire facility was clean and bright. Breakfast was very good. Coffee machine did over fill the cups though. Plenty of dining and entertainment nearby. Overall an EXCEPTIONAL hotel stay. We will be back!

On 3/18-3/19 at midnight I showed up for my room! I had made a big mistake as to what day I was staying because of the timing. James-with a smile on his face- helped me fix it! He was so incredibly friendly. They’re lucky to have an employee like that
Room was nice and clean too! Highly recommend this place.

The hotel is conveniently located near Duke University and close to the interstate. The hotel is clean, quiet, and peaceful with a complimentary breakfast in the morning. My complaint; not happy with layout of the shower because if you forget to point the shower head towards the wall then its immediate cold shower. Thanks for a great two night visit.

Nice hotel with pleasant staff. It was nice to come back after a day out to a clean room restocked with towels. Unfortunately some of the Choice Hotels do not clean the rooms unless you request it or after a two day stay. Definitely would stay here again on my trips to Durham.

I stayed at this Comfort Inn Wednesday and Thursday of last week. The room was reasonably clean and the bathroom seemed to have been recently updated although poor shower waterpressure. Front desk and maid service was polite and efficient. Parking was decent.
The Hotel Breakfast was substandard with limited eating space. No coffee available on Thursday. The eating area reminded me of a hospital waiting room.
