Great first time experience. Was looking for some decent bbq and gave this place a try. The brisket and ribs both fall apart easily and you can pick how fatty or lean your brisket is. They have a variety of bbq sauces you can pick, the carolina vinegar based one was outstanding if you are into to vinegar. Can't go wrong with any of the sides..they let you try whatever you are interested in so no need to worry there. The staff were nice, Brian was extremely helpful with getting me what I needed so if you happen to go, ask for him to help you out. Overall solid choice, location is clean and convenient, decent amount of seating, nicely organized and there's plenty of parking. -
Two meat plate is where it’s at mates! Brisket is solid but just for fun I’ve tried all the other things and they are all amazing. Sides are great too, esp. the corn pudding. Highly recommend this bbq joint! -
I ordered a half pound of lean beef brisket. I get home and weigh the brisket and it is definitely not a half pound, as you can see from the photo. It is nothing but dry bark left over from the previous night. The food was inedible. We asked for extra sauce. We get home and there is no sauce in the bag. I tried to call the store twice it continually tells you to hold. I held for 12 min the first time and 10 minutes the second time, and no one ever picked up the phone. BEWARE and weigh your meat if you get it by the pound. -
This place does a disservice to NC BBQ. The pulled pork has no flavor. The not-so-sloppy Joe had onion straws that tasted fine but were not listed as an ingredient on the menu board. The collards were bitter, but I fixed that with some vinegar and honey. Still, I had to pull out the large ribs to eat the food. The hush puppies tasted like something frozen from New England. This is a corporate replica of an actual BBQ joint. How has this place received more than 4 stars? -
Good My Peeps, rolled into North Carolina (NC)
Food: 3 meat platter had potential to be great if it was more of it and not bland even the sause couldn't save it RIP to the Ribs but the brisket was ok but think they gave me just 3 pieces and 1 peice they could have kept.
Service: ordering system was ok but the we order dine in and set at the table food never came I had to get up and check, lady was calling name from way around a corner that no one can hear, but she could have take it step further walk around calling the name in a noise place.
Atmospher: has the potential to be a great place when it gets crowded with family and friends.
Bottom Line: up there portions of food with better season and long with there greens that had none what so ever, please if your restaurant serve greens to better get in the kitchen and ace the end product.
