I had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered the OG chikin sandwich and it was so good! The oyster mushrooms were fried perfectly, the veggies were fresh and the bun was tasty (my baby niece kept wanting me to give her bites:)) The place had plenty of parking. It is tucked in at the back of the lot that’s next to the family fare gas station. I will definitely be coming back!

Flavor is always great and food is hot and fresh. The Philly fake steak is a go-to! Jerk burrito and OG chicken are great too. They also have great desserts!

Wonderful food and service. Their classic is the vegan philly cheesesteak, and i had that with a slice of sweet potato pie that was wonderful. A stellar meal at a great price too!

Great place overall. Highly disappointed from yesterday service. I call and placed a order yesterday evening. The OG chikun sandwich and the collard greens. I was told it will be ready in 20 mins. I got there a couple minutes after 20. They guy working came out the restroom said he was waiting for the mushrooms to finish cooking about five more minutes. I said ok, step out the store came back five minutes later to see he just started to battered the mushrooms. I politely left, the lack of enthusiasm was very disappointing.

10/10, food was simply amazing. A true mom and pop, my regards to the chef. As someone who has eaten vegan food from around country, this is high on my list. I’ll be back to Durham just to go here.

I can't believe how much I loved this place. The Pulled Jack sandwich and smoked collards combined to make one of the best meals I've ever had.

This is my favorite place of all times. Whether you're vegan or not. It's just really good food and the people are amazing and while it may be a bit of a hole in the wall type of diner, it's very clean and it's quaint and I can even work from there. Always get the kale powerful!

My wife and I tried this place out recently and the food and sauces were delicious. We had the Philly and the fried oyster mushroom sandwich. It doesn’t feel very welcoming at first but the staff are friendly and the food is really unique. We will be back!

This place is AMAZING! Questioned the location initially but it was totally okay and the food was seriously worth it! I got the Philly fake and cheese with a side of Mac and cheese for my daughter who is vegan. I am a hard core carnivore and ate HALF OF HER FOOD!!! My daughter loved what was left! Have to go back! LOL!!!!

My niece and I went there and ordered several of the items off the menu and was pleasantly pleased. The service was great and the food was delicious. I ordered the Philly fake steak and it was the best vegan version of a Philly cheese steak I have had. The blueberry lemon cake was so good. I highly recommend Banu Vegan. You can't go wrong.
