Surpassed expectations! Took my vegan son here after reading reviews. I got the fake steak sandwich, he got the kale chickpea power bowl and seasoned fries. Everything was delicious and fresh, including the salsa that came with my tortilla chips. One reviewer complained about the location, we didn't get that at all. We ate in and were completely comfortable and enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a vegan diner, it's exactly what a diner/sandwich shop should look like. Friendly and helpful staff, good sized servings, very clean place. You're gonna wait a little for the food but when you taste it you'll know why. We'll definitely go back!

I had the chicken sandwich and mac. Omg yall food was delicious! all staff was welcoming, kind and friendly. Definitely going back and highly recommend to you vegans and vegitarians out there.

Food is amazing! I had the Banu Burger with smoked collard greens. Great flavors and couldn’t believe it was vegan! I have recommended this place to many family and friends.

My partner is vegetarian and found this place while looking for a quick dinner pickup. I've not been to many vegetarian or vegan restaurants as they're really not as satisfying. The restaurant is a bit hidden which is unfortunate, because the food is actually very delicious. We both got the philly fake steak, damn good. The portions were great for the price and they provided a side of chips and salsa which is appreciated. We got a side of Mac which while not as indulgent as regular Mac it was packed with flavor. By far the best things though we're the desserts. Shame we couldn't get the strawberry shortcake or mango cake, but the banana pudding, and pineapple were delicious. Definitely try the banana pudding if you get a chance. Definitely heading back soon!

One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Nice staff and AMAZING food. The Philly is easily one of the best vegan meals I've had.

The food was amazing and the guy working the front was friendly and knowledgeable and made sure to check in that everything was great. I got the vegan shrimp poboy and she got the vegan Philly steak with Cajun fries.

When i walked in I did not quite know what to expect. I was greeted instantly. The resturant is a nice cozy eatery in the heart of Durham. Great seasoned vegan food cooked to perfection. The prices are reasonable. A overall clean restaurant and bathrooms which was a plus.

O…..M……G….this place is a MUST TRY!!!! My dad and I first time here was yesterday, we just tried to find a quick bite but this place exceeds expectations. There was a little wait but when we tried that food I literally wanted to apologize for wanting it to be done quicker😂literally the best meal I’ve ever had!!!! I will be back

Special menu today!!!! Chicken Alfredo, broccoli and cheese, side salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert!!! This was so delicious and i wish it was on the menu everyday!!!! I have never been disappointed with BANU VEGAN!!! The food is amazingly good!!!!
