Excellent restaurant, love this place, great customer service, and the food was cooked fresh to order.

Ordered take out and it was AMAZING. The shrimp po boy and Cajun fries were so dang good. My only complaint is I wanted MORE. My sandwich was pretty much all bread 😭 the shrimp are small. Definitely still hungry lol.

This vegan place blew our minds. The food is as creative and high-quality as very expensive vegan restaurants, but for $9-$12 per plate. We ordered a black bean burger wrap, a jerk powerbowl, and the mac & cheese. All vegan. All superb! Yach, one of the owners, ran the front of house and was very friendly. We’ll be coming back frequently! The only downside is that it’s in a low rent district. But once we walked inside, we felt at home.

Cute vegan spot tucked away on the corner of Roxboro and Cornwallis offering a variety of thoughtful Cajun, American, and Soul fare. Cozy cafe, great old school music, very clean, and friendly staff. I got the Skrimp Po Boy with Cajun fries, Mackincheez, and collard greens -- everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Also very reasonably priced and Black-owned. Thank you Banu Vegan, I will be back!!

Good cafe to get good comfort vegan food. We had the Philly fake steak and jerk burrito wrap.

This was without a doubt, some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had! And the salsa was lit! The best I’ve tasted! Service was not the fastest but very friendly and humble; they’re doing really good business with a very small staff. Definitely worth the wait and I’ll be back!

I'm NOT a vegan and I love eating my meat. BUT, I loved this barbecue Philly fake steak. So yummy!

I recently discovered this hidden gem of a vegan restaurant, and it was so good that I found myself returning the very next day! Although it’s tucked away behind another building and might seem like a little hole in the wall, it’s truly worth the visit.
The food is incredibly well-seasoned, and every dish I tried was delicious. The smoothies are a must-try (very refreshing!) The co-owner, who is the son, is not only friendly but also has a chill vibe that makes the experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for tasty vegan food and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next meal there!

Even if you don’t consider yourself vegan, Banu Vegan is an amazing food experience. On par with some of best deli places I’ve tried in NYC or vegan spots in LA. I had the chicken salad wrap. Delicious. Great service too. They’re squeezed in next the Shell gas station. Do yourself a favor and go find this place TODAY.

I’ve been going to Banu Vegan for about a year now and every time it feels like I’m eating their dishes for the first time. I’ve tried multiple vegan spots and I can say hands down this is the best vegan resturant I’ve been too. Can’t wait to see them expand. *Warning* None of the food survived in the photos below.
