This is the best market I have been going here for years now The owners are always helpful and friendly and the groceries are always fresh If you’re looking for middle eastern groceries I recommend this place the meats are fresh I love shopping at this place there is such a variety of different things to explore there -
Nice clean, well organized store. I was able to get döner kebab meat and spices that I haven't found elsewhere. Prices are reasonable. -
I had a very disappointing experience at this store today, and this is not the first time I have noticed pricing inconsistencies here. The price tag on the honeycomb product was $9.99 in the shelf, but at checkout I was charged $11.99. When I questioned it, staff checked another scanner in the store (located in left corner in the back), which showed $10.99, so even their own systems were not consistent.
Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I was treated rudely. The cashier dismissed the concern by saying “it’s only one dollar,” in a very dismissive way that felt insulting and disrespectful, while another employee working in the back said there was nothing he could do. While the amount may seem small to them, as a customer it matters to me that I am charged the correct price for what I purchase. Eventually, they refused to sell the item to me altogether, with the cashier loudly shouting, “I do not want to sell to you.” So, we left without buying that item.
This is part of a pattern I have personally noticed multiple times in the past year or so, where displayed prices and checkout prices do not match, and when questioned, staff respond in a dismissive, aggressive, and unprofessional way. As a customer, it is also frustrating because there are limited Halal grocery options in the area, which makes consistent pricing and respectful customer service even more important.
That said, I want to note that the store itself is not bad, but the issue is how they operate and how poorly customers are treated. As someone who shops here regularly, my recommendation to anyone who shop here is to carefully double-check prices before purchasing. -
Taiba is hands down the best Halal butcher in the Triangle. Prices are reasonable, service is fast, the employees and owners are friendly, the butchering area is clean, and very importantly, the meat is high quality and always fresh.
I have been going to Taiba for the past 7 years or so and I don’t think I have ever bought meat or chicken that spoiled or was poor quality. I cannot say the same about the other Halal butchers I have purchased from in the area.
The grocery store is also great. It is always well stocked and has a decent variety of options, especially considering the size of the store. -
I had a very disappointing experience with this Arabic store this morning . The customer service ( the owner) was rude and unprofessional, and instead of helping customers respectfully, they made the situation uncomfortable. I understand mistakes can happen, but the way they speak to customers and handle problems is not acceptable. I expected better treatment and more respect. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back and would not recommend this store based on my experience.
