Thanksgiving in Durham: Where to Dine & Pick Up the Goods

Yeah, we don't feel like cooking, either. Don't worry ... we rounded up a list of restaurants where you can dine out on Thanksgiving and pick up takeout with all the trimmings.

'Tis the season for mouthwatering turkey, buttery mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie with extra whip cream, and all the mystery casseroles you can imagine. (Pineapple and cheese casserole, anyone?)

Thanksgiving is an exciting (and filling) holiday, but if you want to skip cooking this year, we've got the scoop on where to dine out and pick up your turkey or tofurkey day meals.

Bull City Burger & Brewery, Bull City Solera & Taproom, & Pompieri Pizza

We bet you'll be extra thankful when you wake up to the smell of pre-made warm cinnamon buns, buttermilk biscuits, gruyere and sausage egg cassatta (casserole meets frittata) with hot chocolate or mimosas prepared by the chefs at Bull City Burger & Brewery, Bull City Solera & Taproom, and Pompieri Pizza. Their Thanksgiving brunch packages are available to pre-order online!

Also, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the LIFE Skills Foundation!

Save Room for Pie.

No table is complete without pies, tarts, and something sweet. Durham’s fortunate to be home to many distinguished local bakers. We're eyeing holiday selections from Guglhupf, Rose’s Noodles Dumplings & Sweets, Bean Traders and Loaf, and there are quite a few other options out there as well.

Make those reservations early! Many, if not all, need to be reserved in the next few days for pick up next week.
