Silver Spoon Diner at 5230 N. Roxboro road, Durham.
I had forgotten how good the food is!!!
So good that normally I eat 1 egg and cheese biscuit at home but here I ate a , 5-egg omelette with toast and home fries with a side of a huge pancake!!!!
I ate every single bit!!! Can't believe it but I did.
The place is super clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and the service was fast even though they had a table of roughly 22 ladies also eating and the restaurant was full.
Love this place and will be coming back more often!!!

Let me tell you something, this is my #1 place to recommend. Delicious breakfast and nice waitresses. The food is very filling, you won't walk out of there hungry. I always get chocolate pancakes with bacon and sausage and it hasn't been overdone not once. I usually also get sweet tea and they give you a pitcher of it to refill, plus the tea is actually sweet! Most places can't even get that right! I recommend this place for a nice hardy breakfast and nice service

Can't say enough good things about Silver Spoon. Worth the drive from anywhere, anytime...wonderful, warm, family atmosphere, generous portions, friendly and attentive service, and everything on the breakfast menu is PERFECT every time. Also highly recommend the homemade baklava!

Hands down, favorite breakfast spot in Durham for the entire family. Everything we order is perfection! From the pancakes to the omlettes, to the lunch specials. And the family feel and genuine care each employee has for their patrons is so refreshing!

I ordered the banana pancakes and there was more toppings than batter. We also ordered a seafood omelette and a waffle. The service was also fine for a diner. Overall, haven't been back since but it could be a good option for some.

This family-owned gem offers incredible food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The fried green tomatoes are amazing and the club sandwich is the best sandwich you’ll ever eat. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. A must-visit in Durham!!

I’ve lived in North Durham for over 20 years and just recently ate at the Silver Spoon for the first time. I had no idea what I was missing. They have a large menu that definitely has something for everyone! The food was amazing, served within a few minutes of ordering it. And the wait staff was amazing!!

The silver spoon never disappoints. I have tried many of the menu items and they have always been delicious. The owner and her staff are amazing, once you have been in once it is like you are family. If you want an outstanding meal in a great mom and pop restaurant look no further.

AKA, Platinum Spoon Restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is next level. Our table never had to ask for anything which after a long Halloween night was impressive. Somehow they have mastered portions, even down the carafe of sweet tea. My only regret is that I ordered baklava to go and shared it with my friends, they should have bought their own.

Let me start by saying they have the BEST French toast I have ever head!! It was so good it didn’t even need syrup! The rest of the food was also delicious. The service is impeccable. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Very friendly service, and I love to support locally owned and operated restaurants! This is a place that will greet you by name if you become a regular.
I ordered the corned beef benedict for breakfast, and the food was unfortunately average at best. I'd wager the corned beef hash comes straight out of a can and my poached eggs were served with the yolks completely set which was a huge disappointment. The english muffins were barely toasted so the benedict was also lacking texture. The home fries are thinly sliced potatoes prepared with sautéed onions and paprika, and they were tasty.

One of my FAVORITE breakfast places! I absolutely LOVE Ms. Pat our waitress. She makes us put our phones down and enjoy each other's conversation. The owner knows us by name. We always feel like we are at home when we are there.

Friendly upbeat service and tasty comfort diner food. The building looks a little run down, but cozy. Not my typical atmosphere, but I would come back for the corn beef hash eggs benedict.
