The Plumpeez origin story is rooted in Naila's first turkey hero experience at a Brooklyn bodega. From that first bite, she knew she needed to take those sandwiches back to North Carolina. Now, alongside her children, she serves these delicious handhelds in Durham, honoring the memory of her deceased husband who introduced her to these flavors many years ago. Plumpeez has a robust array of turkey, ham, beef, Italian, and veggie sandwiches along with a list of club-style sammys, all served on locally made bread.

Where do I begin? If I could give 1,000 stars, I absolutely would! Every dish I’ve tried on the menu at Plumpeez Deli has been top tier! The food here is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Plumpeez is hands down one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always fresh and full of flavor. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the menu has something for everyone. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and provides excellent customer service every time I visit. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. Disappointed that this deli moved out of our rural area but even more so when I just read in my local paper that they have accepted a small business grant from THIS community and are using that money to "enhance" their business.
When I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by a young man. He asked if I was coming to Plumpeez and informed me that they only have curbside service.
He handed me a paper menu and instructed me to call when I was ready to place my order.
After perusing the menu, I decided to order the "Dumbo."
When I called my order in, I stated that I did not want lettuce. The person taking my order acknowledged this, but when I got my hero, there was lettuce on it.
Aside from that, I was very pleased with my order. In true New York fashion, there was plenty of good quality meat on my sandwich.

I asked for a charcuterie board of fruit, meats, vegetables along with sandwiches for a repast. I can’t praise this board enough! Everyone loved it. Absolutely beautiful! I recommend them for any occasion you might have. Thanks to my granddaughter, Akayla for the recommendation!

Could not find location and was not familiar with ordering process as friend sent me here to order at store. However, does not work like that. Order through door dash, may get additional information later to pull in rear parking lot. Not clear signage.
