They're dedicated to quality in all that they do, and they pride themselves on making the best cup of coffee possible.
They have two amazing coffee roasters that they partner with, and they're currently hiring for full-time or part-time staff at both their Raleigh and Durham locations.
Their dining room is open, and they also offer take-out, curbside pick-up, and delivery.
Their hours are:
Monday - Tuesday: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Wednesday - Friday: 7:00 am - 8:30 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am - 8:30 pm
Sunday: 8:00 am - 8:30 pm
I'm definitely going back to check out more of the New World Cafe menu. Part of what I love about Durham!

Great place with a great environment. I didn't eat anything but the espresso is very well done with fresh roasted coffee beans. The girl that served me was very nice and patient. The staff was nice and the place very clean. Food lack some good protein options but that's easy to improve.

Mike exceeded my expectations on my catering order for a board meeting in the Chesterfield Building. He was prompt, responsive, got the order correct as ordered and delivered it fresh to the meeting attendees. I will definitely be saving this as a future catering contact.

Can’t speak to the food but the coffee here is easily the best in Durham. Fantastic specialty shop, with excellent pourovers. Much needed addition!

I search out local coffee shops when I travel. New World Cafe was a hit with me. I loved the option of a to-stay ceramic cup for my beverage. I enjoyed a morning latte outdoors with options of sun or shade. I'll be back!

I’ve been here like 5 times always just get a coffee right when they open and it’s been a real “eh whatever” type of experience each time. Coffee is good but it’d be nice if they just slightly upgraded the cups/containers they use. Like I went 3 times this winter and each time the coffee is spilling out from under the lid or something so obviously that’s all I’m going to remember about the experience and if that’s the case I’d rather not pay $5 for a coffee. Also leaving this review because I went this morning and got the wrong order. Regardless, giving it 4 stars because the coffee is good. Missing star is because I honestly just hate the cups that they use. Like put the homemade cold brew in a glass bottle and mark it up a dollar the current bottle looks so cheap that it really takes away from the quality of the coffee. Better cups for the hot coffee will be 5 star

The chokehold these acai bowls have me in…the food quality is fantastic, their espresso is A+, the staff is SO kind and friendly, atmosphere is great — I can’t say enough good about it. My new favorite neighborhood place!

Great coffee. Moist banana bread (note: their style of banana bread does not have banana pieces or nuts). The owner and staff were very friendly. I’m not sure why previous reviews said the shop was unkind to Black people. They were perfectly respectful and kind to me. I will be glad to return.
The shop opened 6 months ago and still has a few kinks to work out. For example, the self-serve syrup is inside of a creamer jug, which makes it hard to measure how much syrup is being poured. Would love to have the syrup put into a traditional pump container. Also, the syrup container needs a label. 😇
The shop is located at the corner of Duke & Main st. There’s free street parking on Duke. Not sure about main st.
