Our server "Alanda" was phenomenal!!! I would come back just because of her!!! She was very personable, kept checking on us, smiled and used tons of courtesy phrases. She has extremely good customer service!!!
Food was top tier!!! Cauliflower was spectacular. Catfish was fried very crispy and the cheese grits were very good.
Smoked half chicken is no joke (chicken shouldn't be this good), the okra and fingerling potatoes were nicely seasoned. Everything was piping hot! -
My husband and I are in town for an early morning appt. We got in, and found online, and thought we'd check out. First impression, liked the decor and atmosphere. We were greeted, then asked if we had reservations. We did not, and we were able to choose our seats. We chose a table top facing the bar. Kwame'(?) the bartender& our waiter greeted us and brought us waters. He had a warm smile. We ordered a pepper dip with chips. Very tasty( my husband wished it was larger)! I ordered the ribs, just as described and lots of flavor. The collards were flavorful. My husband's main course was a super sized pork chop . Delicious! He asked for the gravy on the side, but thankfully it didn't ruin the taste because they poured on top. We would definitely go again -
The food was pretty good. I had shrimp and grits and it was so many onions, peppers etc that it was a bit overwhelming. The biscuits were good and fresh but my husband didn't like the spread they came with, they didn't have traditional jelly as an option. There were 3 young people behind the host station and several tables needed to be cleared. I was distracted most of my visit by operational concerns really. Things like more people could be seated at tables of they were cleared and reset. The only options were outside, high top tables or the bar since no one was cleaning tables. It was a nice place, the guy behind the bar worked really hard and was all over the business and outside working. Would likely visit again if I'm in the area again. -
We went as party of 15-17 we had to wait until 8 were present to be seated. Then once seated we weren’t all at the table together which was awkward when there was a room next to us to accommodate everyone. We ordered l
bottomless mimosas and after the fourth pour they weren’t tasting the same. Sorta like just orange juice. I had the fried catfish and grits with fried green tomatoes. Grit had red beans on top of them, didn’t care for that much. Catfish was delicious. Fried green tomatoes were good as well except the bacon jam that was served with it. Not my preference. Overall brunch with the family was great. Food wasn’t over priced. I’ll definitely go back and try other menu items DHD maybe a signature mimosa. -
Excellent BBQ place!! The food is excellent quality and super tasty. Service was polite and we appreciated their recommendations. A service charge is already included in the prices and for the portion sizes they are fair! If you're looking for southern cooking or Carolina BBQ, this is the place to be!
