Capital One Café

I recently visited the new Capital One Café at The Streets at Southpoint, and it was such a refreshing experience. The space feels modern, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for grabbing a coffee, catching up on emails, or just relaxing during a shopping trip.

The coffee quality really stood out. They serve craft coffee from Verve Coffee Roasters, and everything I tried tasted fresh and well-made. I also appreciated how comfortable the seating areas are, with plenty of outlets and reliable Wi-Fi—great for getting work done or meeting friends.

One of the coolest things about this café is the concept itself. It’s not just a coffee shop—it’s a community-friendly space where you can relax, work, and even take care of simple banking needs if needed. The atmosphere felt friendly and low-pressure, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

Overall, this is a fantastic addition to Durham and a great new spot at Southpoint. Whether you’re a coffee lover, a student looking for a study space, an entrepreneur or just someone who wants a comfortable place to unwind, this café is definitely worth visiting.

Amazing coffee shop. We had a great time with my fam in their nook. They offer lots of discounts and freebies if you are capital one and discover card holder.

The front desk staff had such a beautiful smile and gave a really warm welcome. I’m a big fan of Capital One, and their matcha is definitely one of my favorites! 🍵💚

Great place a coffee especially if you have a capital one card for 50% off.

Coworking space is good with lots of seating and outlets. Can be loud but a pair of noise canceling headphones works well.

I usually really enjoy the capital one cafes. I have visited multiple capital one cafes across the United States and eagerly awaited the opening of this capital one. As a loyal capital one banking customer, I enjoyed the drinks and discounts on drinks. The baristas are always so nice and well accommodating especially on busy days. However, I am extremely disappointed with the customer service of the bank employees. I have decided against opening up another card with capital one. At each of our visits, bank representative Bonnie has been unwelcoming to the space and berated us for asking clarifying questions about the cafe rules.
However, Juan, the other employee, has always been warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, every time I visit the cafe, I find myself feeling under surveillance from Bonnie’s policing of the line, bathroom, rooms, and more. I understand that employees may have to enforce rules but we received blatant inappropriate and insulting comments from Bonnie. Her unwelcoming and inappropriate tone were very disappointing. For that reason, I am saddened to forego visiting and recommending this capital one, as I am greatly disappointed by the interactions I’ve seen and experienced myself and to others.
