Really cool place with a variety of inhousemade and locally-sourced menu items. I got a classic burger (added the pimento cheese 👍) with cheesy fries while some in our party ordered vegetarian burgers. They all had good things to say! You walk up to the counter to order your food (the line moves pretty fast) before choosing a table. There are plenty of tables of different sizes to accommodate number of guests. If you want an alcoholic beverage (full bar and craft beer choices), you go right up to the bar and order. I think you can order food if you sit at the bar but I could be wrong, so don't quote me 😀. Everyone was friendly and there's a cool atmosphere with fun lights and decor. 🍔

What a great burger!!! 🍔 My son had the Boo Burger and I had the build your own! Pimento cheese and sautéed mushrooms were a nice add👍. Cheese fries were amazing!

Super chill vibes and cool atmosphere, love the look inside. Nice bar area and plenty of long picnic table style seating for food. It’s a bit pricey for a burger, but they have some great burger options. The pimento burger was a little underwhelming, pickle was overpowering and not enough pimento spread to really even taste pimento over the pickle. One of their best burgers is the over easy burger with eggs and bacon however, and is reportedly delicious. Good crispy fries, like the Mason jar style water cups. They also offer a secret burger with “secret” meat, but if you want to find out the meat it’s easy to google it. Definitely for adventurous eaters only, one type of meat is fried tarantula for example. All in all nice place for lunch to grab a decent burger that’s not a fast food burger place.

4 stars because we really loved the beer and will definitely be back for more. We will skip the food next time, though. I appreciate that they support local and don't have processed foods. However, due to that, I would have expected the food to be amazing especially for the price. It was not even mediocre to be honest. The burgers were dry and simply not noteworthy. The picture I've attached is an $18 burger (no sides). The bun wasn't even good-tasting. The mushrooms were cooked poorly and were very hard. The fries... They were nearly inedible they were so salty, and they just didn't have a good texture as if they weren't fresh. Very stingy on the cheese. Overall I'd say don't waste your money on the food but do grab yourself a beer! The staff was very nice so kudos to them!

Burgers were tasty. I had the 3 bean burger. Fries were nice and crispy and fried pickles were also good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Recommend stopping by if you are in town for a show at the Carolina Theater or DPAC.

Great burger place in downtown Durham, North Carolina. The burgers are amazing as is all their food. The fried pickles were great. Really cool vibe and great outdoor patio.

Very creative and unique burger choices that stand out from other burger restaurants. The beers were a bit hit-or-miss for my palate. Very lively atmosphere.

Check out the patio in the back if the weather is nice. The classic burger is good and the fried pickles really are legendary. Mojito was solid.

I love the option to get a salad with a burger patty on top. Very healthy and great suggestion by the server. There are vegan options too that I am eager to try. The short walking distance from Durham man library makes it convenient too.

Solid burgers with great flavor, great beer selection, awesome fries. I was really blown away from the burger buns. Probably one of the best burger buns I ever had, it tasted like it was fresh from some great bakery. I’d love to just buy some buns and cook my own burgers, tasted like typical Costco grass fed beef ground meat. It was good

Really cool spot for a burger. They have some great specialty burgers on the menu, and you can, also, build your own, which is what I did. I had gruyere cheese, fresh jalapeños, and there spicy beer mustard on my burger and it was a great combination. The mustard was so flavorful. I'm not really a huge fan of the thick burgers, but they did a good job. They, also, make their own buffalo sauce that was so unique and not overwhelmingly spicy, which I used to dip my fries. They have fresh sodas made without high fructose corn syrup or any of those nasty fillers. The birch beer was so crisp and tasty.

we stumbled across this place because the restaurant we tried to go to was full. i was pleased by the food and flavors! the onion loaf app was so good, nice and stringy, real crisp but light. we got the house mayo and it paired really well with the onions. i got a burger bowl over the duck frites-- i wasn't expecting the duck frites to be as cooked nor as small, the potato was completely cooked through and i prefer my fries softer and thicker, they tasted really good tho. the burger itself was delicious. the drinks were okay, it's nice they make all of the juice in house but they were out of a lot of options and don't have flavored sodas either which i don't mind, but i prefer something more carbonated with a burger and fries! not your traditional burger joint but i like the twist, i would go back!
