We Set Out Terms - A Black Erotic Praxis: Power, Consent, Liberation [Opening Reception]

Join Be Connected Durham & Beyond and Zeitgeist Gallery & Bar for the opening reception of WE SET OUR TERMS: A Black Erotic Praxis — Power • Consent • Liberation, a multidisciplinary exhibition centering Black artists engaging Kink and BDSM through a Black lens.

Featuring visual art, installation, and community-centered programming, the exhibition explores bodily autonomy, intimacy, consent, power, care, and liberation while examining the intersections of public art, public health, identity, and healing.

The opening reception offers the first opportunity to experience works from 25+ selected artists whose practices engage themes of embodiment, agency, vulnerability, and self-definition. Guests will also learn more about upcoming workshops, performances, artist talks, and Juneteenth programming connected to the exhibition.

Presented by Be Connected Durham & Beyond in partnership with Zeitgeist Gallery & Bar, with artistic lead Gemynii of The Conjure (@_theconjure).
